So anyway, I applied as a merit source :)
Any website that asks its users to deposit in order to withdraw are scams.

The first red flag is that the site is giving away 0.21BTC for free - can you imagine how big an amount that is in today's market? Use your common sense here, if it too good to be true then it is likely false.

However this is not a rare method, but a very common on often getting reported by victims on this forum.

Be cautious—it sounds like a common scam. Legit platforms don’t ask for deposits to unlock withdrawals. I’d recommend stopping further deposits and reporting the site. Have you checked reviews or forums for similar complaints?

I recently signed up on a site called Xanory.com because they had a promo code offering 0.21 BTC upon registration. I was pretty excited to see the balance appear in my account, but when I tried to withdraw, it said I needed to deposit 0.0025 BTC to activate withdrawals.

I followed their instructions and deposited the amount, but now it says I need to upgrade my account by depositing another 0.01 BTC before I can withdraw anything. I’m feeling pretty stuck and unsure what to do next.

This is a classic "drainage" scheme. Firstly, they create a "promo" ad saying that when you sign up, they will credit you a huge amount. Of course, this is totally fake because 1- nobody will ever give you 0.21BTC for a sign-up, and 2- it's different to see any amount on a site, than having it in your pocket/ wallet.
Unfortunately, if you fall into this trap of them like you did, they ask you to deposit a small amount based on the amount that they "credited" you. You fall again in their second trap and this will continue for as long as you deposit your money. They never send you anything, no matter e-mails or messages you send to them and of course, no matter how much you deposit. Sorry to say it, but any money there is long gone... Cry

Do not trust the site. It was created two days ago. There are many exchanges that you can use that have been existing for a long time and that are reputed. Unlike a site that was created just yesterday that no one knows nothing about yet.

Hi everyone,

I’m new to the cryptocurrency world, so please be kind—I’m still figuring things out!

I just want to know if anyone here has had experience with Xanory.com or similar situations. Is this a normal process, or does this sound like a scam? I don’t want to throw good money after bad if this isn’t legit.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, and sorry if this is a noob question—I’m just trying to learn and not lose my hard-earned crypto.

Cheers!
