Guys I'd need to point out what I mean by game changer IRL.

The real innovation makes the previous modalities obsolete or creates a completely new field that is not comparable to anything else existed before.

So for instance some one has told here that Dash is being used by many merchants. Do the Dash merchants have any radical advantage using Dash so they are earning 10 times more for instance than the non-Dash merchants?

BTC has created the cryptoworld (so it's of course a game changer), ETH can be considered a huge improvement inside of cryptoworld, but in the real life it hasn't probably changed anything that much.

i'd say only a "handful" of altcoins have innovative ideas and even less than that actually implement their ideas. others only remain in idea form and the rest (>90% of the altcoins) are just copying each other by changing trivial things.
so the answer is clearly no, none of them are game changes. those with innovative ideas that implement them have a chance but so far i have not seen any that has made any groundbreaking development.

I'd argue that Ethereum is probably one of those 'groundbreaking altcoins'. It started quite well though it faces scalability issues and has been trying to solve that up till now. This problem is highlighted by a lot of projects and become their core mission to solve, but if Ethereum can solve it on their own, then the rest of those altcoins will probably become worthless.

We also have to choose not based on the rank but based on the developments they do in the market.

How to measure developments? Looking at GitHub commits?

Many altcoins has developed innovative ideas.
Do you know any that can be considered a true game changer in the real world?

Based on coinmarketcap.com, BTC's dominance is apparently 55.8% at the time of writing.

But, I believe the real world dominance/relevance is much closer to let's say 95%.
Its not only based on the ranks but it also based on their use  . btc is dominating but btc at the same time is a verry useful coin whether online or on real world but there are other coins out there that have a different usage ( etherium for example )  eth is use for coin creation . so yes i prefer these type of coins because there will always a demand for them compare to other plain coins .

Potential coins are always good to invest and good to research about those coins and their development strategy will always help the coin to increase its value in the market. We also have to choose not based on the rank but based on the developments they do in the market.

When I first heard about BTC I instantly knew it was a game changer and to some extent it is, but I feel the full potential is still uncovered.

There are some altcoins gained much value in very short fom but we can't call them as game change because still coins price movement depends on bitcoin whether it is bullish or bearish so bitcoin is the real game change until now but the number of people using cryptos is really low compared to total population so the real game changer in the market can be identified only after every one starts using it.

Bitcoin is certainly a game changer and everyone who invested in crypto are considering bitcoin for their major investment.
There's a lot of altcoins which has great potential to change the world in the future, but that's just a vision for now, we really don't know what their future ahead so I won't recommend something, the list is available, we can search and analyze on our own.

Only Bitcoin is the most recommended one as it's the most promising coin in the market.

That depends on anyone perspective. When you are asking a bitcoiners and he will say bitcoin is the true game changer but when you have asked another person that always speculate the altcoin and he would also say if altcoin is the true game changer. But most people prefer to use bitcoin as a store of value rather than take its utility usage.
Ethereum with its tokenization platform, dash with its adoption by so many merchants and many more.

BTC is of course a game changer, because it has changed the world:

1) Some people has become rich
2) Many new ideas (coins) was created because of the possibilities BTC has uncovered
3) The world of finance is changing somehow thanks to BTC
4) Many people has found an interesting job

And still I think it should've changed the world much more. Just think about the wheel invention, how it has changed the world.

Speaking about ETH I'm not seeing such a deep change in the real world because of it.
I'd say it's a game changer inside of crypto world, but not that much in the real world.
We are constantly seeing articles about such and such bank has adopted ETH technology, but who knows whether it's true and how much they are using that technology and whether they understand the potential and so on.

Speaking about other cryptos I feel that there are some that are just clones of the others and there are some that are expressing a potential to become a game changer, but maybe no one has really done something important in the real world.
I opened this thread because I'd like to be wrong. So please name the coin that is truly changing the world right now.

Innovative ideas are good but many project team don't have enough patience to develop their coin until they reach their goal so people are afraid to take it even if they have some potentiality.

But bitcoin and other most recognized coins can work individually and it is under control of no one.

Altcoins, most of the time, is created to be a utility token or to perform on a closed landscape, while BTC is mostly used for electronic money. At the same time, altcoins can be used as money too and this, on paper, could endanger BTC usage in the future. What makes BTC so strong is because the shared believe that BTC, as the oldest and maybe famous coins, will be dominating forever, or at least for a few decades later.

I think ETH is also a game changer, as the beginning of ETH is the start of lots of development from a different team, which give birth to many kinds of scaling solutions and so on. Monero is also a game changer as it's probably the first and most used privacy coins. Another coins needs more time to be tested, even some of them who've started their ICO two years ago are still in development.

Game changer can only be known if it would really be supported by entire masses. You wouldnt know if such feature would work out to caught communities attention or not.
For Bitcoins instance, since it was created it is already a revolutionary thing yet making p2p transactions without 3rd party intervention is the main thing here which you cant
see on any service on the world thats what it makes a unique thing.

You already said that we have bitcoin, what's more we're going to look for as a true game changer? as you have said, the full potential hasn't been met so let's wait until most of the people used it for every transactions. And for the altcoins and innovative ideas, I don't think that many of them are truly tackling about their ideas. It's more about the potential profit that they can make through collection but just selling their ideas alone, there's nothing new with that.
