Myanmar would give them a big "fuck you". I hope China get involved, LOL. They have an oil pipeline on the bay of Bengal going through Myanmar. It goes through Rakhine on its way to the bay.

China has been one of the biggest backers of the Myanmarese government for the past many decades. But now the military dictatorship has been replaced with a democratically elected government led by the pro-western NLD, and the Chinese are not that happy about it.

Might be but if China helps them with this one, they might warm up back to them. Besides, China have commercial interest and you know how they act whenever money is involved. I remember them claiming 100% ownership of a port in Sri Lanka. They wouldn't let this pipeline into the hands of terrorists.

I was watching the BBC news, and they are going ballistic with all these Rohingya sob stories. But as usual, no mention about the Islamist atrocities in Rakhine. Not even once the reporters mentioned about the dozens of Buddhist casualties.

They really are expanding  so fast. I also doubt that those isis members are just from the local muslim tribes. They are now propagating so much destruction. Even in the Philippines  the fight is still undone and there are more casualties  which i cannot take

As far as I know, the local Rakhine chapter in ISIS is 100% made up of local Rohingyas. And unlike the case in Philippines, the foreigners (Chechens, Arabs.etc) have not appeared in Rakhine till now. Also, it is not easy for the foreign ISIS members to infiltrate in to Myanmar. The borders are very strictly guarded, on both the sides.

Great ISIS, while you're at it, do Thailand again. Might finally cause ASEAN to do something about them.

why the hell is the Bangladeshi army giving training to this group.

The Rohingya are basically illegal Muslim immigrants from Bangladesh. And the rulers of Bangladesh have made it clear that they want to merge the state of Rakhine with their country, through a combined process of demographic Jihad and physical Jihad.

Thank goodness the ASEAN countries are not as cucked as the EU. They basically passed around the immigrant boats. If this was anywhere Europe their lefties probably would have gotten wet seeing all those people coming over from across the sea.

But there is a lot of pressure from the GCC. Countries such as Saudi Arabia are threatening Myanmar that if they don't give citizenship to the Rohingya, then they will impose sanctions and embargoes over that country. Even the GCC nations threatened India when one Indian minister recently announced that they are planning to deport some 40,000 illegal Rohingya back to Myanmar.

I think that people are exaggerating the capabilities of ISIS. They can't fight with the whole world. It seems to me that their greatness is just created in the media. They are really vicious, but cowardly. They are only capable of terrorist attacks.

How economically dependent is Myanmar to those Arabs anyway? I don't think they'd be able to pressure the Myanmar government. And even if the government would want to give in, it may not be able to do so. It would be very unpopular with the Burmese public.

I remember reading about this situation years ago, and even then they already see the Arabs as a sinister people who want to destroy their country. I remember seeing caricatures of the camel in the tent fable with the camel labelled as GCC

Isis always has many ways to get into some areas they want,, hidden recruitment that may not be known by anyone cause very easy for isis to spread its ideology ,, i hope we all can join in order to beat isis and all The cruelty of their destruction in this period
Easy to say but in the matter of fact there are so many risks involved. Hoped that it would also be resolved sooner. I don't have issues regarding their religion and their ideology, but the way they are showing off the world that they are ruthless is what makes me concern. It may be hard for their part but we do not know what they are struggling right now. Sad to say conflicts are everywhere.

ISIS can declare what they like and nobody will care. They have no country, they can't declare wars.
Their threats are like "submit to us or we'll suicide on your land!". Crazy assholes!

Agreed with you. I think they are already doing these activities all over the world and they are continuously threatening the world peace by their terrorism. Shame on them for claiming innocent lives.

A militant group has warned of a "war" against the Myanmar Government, taking responsibility for attacks on police stations that have left more than 100 people dead. On Friday, militants from the Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA), which claims to be fighting for the rights of Rohingya people — a Muslim minority long-persecuted by Myanmar's Buddhist majority — attacked about 25 police posts in the country's west.

A new video posted on social media showed the group's leader Abu Ammar Jununi flanked by two masked men with assault rifles and saying the recent violence was in response to harassment from Myanmar's security forces and blockades of Rohingya villages.

This is the militant group which beheaded three Buddhist engineers in 2015. According to local news reports, the Bangladeshi army has started giving training for this group, to exterminate the Hindus and Buddhists in the area.

Surprise, surprise! Isn't it a bit too obvious by now? Just look at it, the ASEAN countries that have the most terror incidents are those with a sizable Muslim population among a non-Muslim majority. Myanmar and Thailand where there they live among Buddhist and the Philippines where they live among Christians. Singapore has also had multiple terror threats before that thankfully never got out of hand.

Now back to Singapore, Thailand and the Philippines. Most of the terrorists there have ties in Malaysia. Do see stuff like these happening in Malaysia? Nope. What do you think that means?

ISIS can declare what they like and nobody will care. They have no country, they can't declare wars.

The world in their minds is divided in to Dar-es-Salam (House of Peace) and Dar-al-Harb (House of War). The latter is the part that is not yet fully Islamic.

Whether or not they have a country is irrelevant but if they are able to act on their threat, it's going to be innocent lives that are going to be lost, this threat must be eliminated and why the hell is the Bangladeshi army giving training to this group.

Im think that militant group is inspired by ISIS like in the  Philippines (the Maute group).
ISIS wants to spread their influence specially in the region that is not powerful enough to face them by inspiring some militant group to join them.
