I guess these people used to be targeted by hundreds of lunatics all the time, so the IS guys can get a number and join the queue Smiley. Is anyone knows which new emoticon Mark Zuckerberg used when/if he answered to the threats Smiley?

Don't know for Twitter, but I wouldn't mind the end of that smug developer that works for big corporate interests

Hate to say that these social media sites that have allowed recruiting and promotion by terrorists, are reaping what they have sewn. No sympathy here. Never should have allowed these criminals to roam free on Twitter and Facebook.

ISIS says threaty words then they wont do it... they wanna be famous...

ISIS depends a lot on propaganda to hire new recruits. They are losing thousands of their soldiers every month from attacks by the regime forces and the Russians. They are in constant need of fresh recruits. By popularizing all those beheading and rape videos, they can attract all sorts of perverts from the rest of the world, to join their organization.

Facebook and twitter may be removing sites now but it Anonymous who started attacking Daesh accounts several months ago, Keep up the good work y'all

Anonymous seems to be having more resources when compared to the Twitter.  Grin

And they can't be swayed by bribes and favors from Saudi Arabia. A few months ago, they launched a mass attack on Turkish government sites, as a retaliation for the Turkish support for ISIS. The Turks could restore these sites only after several days.

Wow this makes me think of the first episode of black mirror,

Because terrorists where threatening the premier of England.
They said he needed to have sex with a pig on national television for everyone to see.
Or they would kill the princess of england, So  I wont tell you all because maybe you want to see it.

But This is crazy if they are going to do attacks because of facebook and twitter.
Imagine if they would kidnap someone important and ask for some ridiculous demands.

It's cute that ISIS thinks they can actually win against giant companies like Facebook... all they have to do is hire a couple extra people to deal with terrorists, maybe add something to the report button for terroristic threats.  Not to mention how easy it would be to block their IP's.  Holding a ton of Facebook accounts is irreverent when you can just nuke all the ones made from a certain place.

Facebook has already blocked most of the ISIS-related accounts. But Twitter is finding it extremely hard to do so. Anonymous hacker group estimates that there are close to 200,000 Twitter accounts controlled by the ISIS guys. Every day, thousands of new accounts are being created. Twitter is struggling to block them, as the number is too high.

If Allah is so great then there should be zero need to be using heathen companies anyway. They need to pray harder.

Yeah they might be able to worry the people but before being able to put Fb Google or twitter down they got a loooooooooooong way to go!

Islamic State has released a 25-minute video featuring the faces of Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey and Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg being riddled with mock bullet holes.

Isis has begun to respond with increasing urgency as Facebook and Twitter have attempted to block terrorist content on the network. Representatives from both companies were among those who met senior White House officials in January to discuss how to deal with terrorism online.

During the latest video, overwritten text proclaims: “If you close one account we will take 10 in return and soon your names will be erased after we delete you [sic] sites, Allah willing, and will know that we say is true”.

In the video the terrorists claim they control more than 10,000 Facebook accounts, 150 Facebook groups and 5,000 Twitter profiles.
