There are password managers that you can use. Those are the tools that I've read from other crypto folks. But, I'll go with the traditional method of writing it on a paper where I'm the only one that knows anything about it.
I still prefer the old way of using my usual password and includes some characters or different characters which this characters only I will note in my notebook. I have trust issue when it comes in using new apps related to or that will need to put money that will requires password so as much as possible I choose login ways thru number OTP or apps that allow 2FA if possible. Tough the idea will really help many who have trouble in forgetting passwords since not all platforms have easy claim or options of forgot passwords.
2FAs are common these days.

It's either you use an email or use those authenticator apps. It's a good plus for security for your accounts and that practice of doing traditional through keeping it on notebooks.

It never gets old and I'm sure that many of the people here are doing the same especially for the private keys.

It will be good to have this project work out because am just tired of keeping password this, password that every time I register on a site. And then I will have to memorise the short passwords or write down the long and difficult ones. Am curious to know if anyone has tried this thing out before.

And isn't it possible to use the Google Password Manager, which allows you to save passwords in your Google account. So the problem with remembering long passwords is far-fetched and is not a problem. I have more confidence in Alphabet, of which Google is a structural unit, than in Hypersign, which OP writes about.

I don't think need this for your important data.

If you have some problem for remember a password, why not created a method to backup data? You can search on google, which backup data is good for your self. Most people are gonna to created with a note.

I think no body gonna to use this.
its not neccessary for us to remember our password from personall data. its risky enough to use app for backing our password, meanwhile there are alot way to do manually without any help from third party. even if we forget with our password,we still able to recover using mail or phone code. as long as we didnt loss our backup device, it still safe for us.

frankly, long and new passwords for every platform are annoying, but they are pretty good for the security of my accounts. I don't trust any site about this. I prefer traditional methods. I always write down the passwords of my important accounts. In this way, I will not be able to forget. I keep that paper or whatever it is that I wrote down in a way that it will not be damaged or lost. I save the accounts that I use in my daily life by saying remember my password. In this way, I can see these passwords by entering my password safe on chrome. In short, password security is always good.

But don't worry; it won't happen again. Future?! NO...!

I discovered a fantastic platform called Hypersign, and they are developing an Omnichain Decentralized Identity Infrastructure and working on a passwordless mechanism.

You don't have to remember anything if you are using a password manager. Not sure why anyone would use this. Those password managers can store your password locally, so no one has access to it except you. Just confused, how is this platform going to help with passwords? Will your passwords be store in a an online chain? Then what's the advantage between them and a password manager that also stores your password in the cloud (other than being decentralized)?

Though the idea looks good but personally I still prefer keeping passwords offline especially for very important passwords. Storing important information like passwords or other sensitive access info online is something I will not advise anyone to do. That is why the best secure wallet storage is offline. Though it is a burden to write passwords, but that is the price for better security.

I tried to use an app before available on phones, but I choose not to continue using that app for security reason and I don’t think I’m ready to use another one. Well, if you think long password is too hard to memorize, better to change it and have the 2FA as well, this can be a big help to secure your account. Even if the site is good or legit, it is still a must to have a back up offline, this is more safer I believe.
There's always a risk on using online platform even if they claim its secured, if you are doubt about it better not to use it. 2FA can help you but its also not guaranteed because hackers have so many ways to hack you especially if they already have the access on your account. Protecting your account with a different and long password can be more secured, but again you must protect it like its your only account and you have big money on that, you can use secret book but of course you still need to put it on a safe place. Its ok to use password manager if there's no money on that account.

Having a secured password is a must and I rather use my own notebook than to trust any platform for my personal security, this can be a good alternative but its better to be safe than to trust this kind of platform. You can make short password but with a good twist and use 2FA just to make sure that your account is safe. Password is very important, keep it at a safer and remember that if you put it online, the risky is high there and anytime it can be compromised, so think again.

I don't like the idea as well, maybe some of us here are still old school and will used the traditional way of memorizing their password and doing a back up by writing it down.

Again, this might be good, been using as well password managers but totally dump them years ago. Of course my backup is not online, and I don't put it in email or cloud because chances are if these hackers gets ahold of this, they will simply go and attempt to use it.

Responding to the title, nope, it's not painful. In fact, I believe remembering password is the last thing you want to do!

Remembering is a bad idea, especially if the password is extremely secure, there is too much room for error. That's why password manager like Bitwarden, KeePassX, etc exists. The crucial part is the master password, which should be the thing taken into priority. There are many options to backup the master password to mitigate any losses.

Regarding the project you referred, I have skimmed the site. I think it rather makes password management more complicated, I don't see the idea of managing passwords using that platform would make it easier. Nevertheless, if somehow that project makes digital identity and is able to tie it with password management that is available for many services/third-party platforms, it would be worth keeping an eye on.

Still, I would say negligence can cost your Ac whether you are using Hitech tools so always be careful. Write your password where nobody can get access. You can write on a paper using some abbreviated terms so that if lost nobody can crack your password easily. I also follow the same way. I hope hypersign will be a good platform but it is too early to comment on the platform unless adopted by a mass no of people.

It is indeed very difficult to remember passwords for both platforms and other passwords, but by writing them on paper or saving them in notes or drafts, I think it is a practical way to make it easier to remember everything that uses a password, but we have to keep it a secret from others otherwise the account or platform you are using can be taken over by someone else.

Use passwords that you can remember, simple as that, I can remember my cellphone number, my mother's and father's, I can remember my four different bank account numbers and even remember my cars plate number, are you for real? Every new discoveries in security sections always comes with a flaw, just be careful.

The project looks promising, but remember that even the best security measures will not help if the user is not careful. I am of the opinion that proper education in this field is worth much more than the best tools. But of course, such tools can make life easier for conscious users.

Because we love easy life that is why we are anxious to know how this will work and ways to make it better for ourselves. No one wants a difficult life.

I just installed the beta app but not tried yet on how the passwordless may work in many websites we are using no clue how this stuff works but looks very useful if it will solve this very common problem by most users today. I will bookmarked this project for any future updates once live.

I wonder how this is going to work and I get the idea by visiting the website but it still confuses me with a lot of things. Those graphic charts are helpful.

It sure looks good, this can become big someday, in today's world we are still facing high-security risks online which is very bad, I hope this project lives up to expectations, maybe finally something better than 2FA authentication code, but one thing is certain though, everything has it's flaws, have that in mind.
