-snip- but if it’s the capacitors I really need to research to see if it is or take it someone to be repaired
It has non-solid capacitors, the top will appear bloated if it's busted.
You might also need to get your PSU checked since it could be the issue why the ports are getting broken one by one.

so I'm using a 650w Corsair PSU there are also 2 other  GekkoScience hubs connected to it, they are running solid.
i think im going to test the power with the barrel, i tried to unscrew it apart and boy are those screws really in there almost stripped one

I don't actually understand with your problem but you can ask people in here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=40.0

There is dozen member can help you there maybe @sidehack , @kano , @cygan can help you there

Hope the problem solved  Wink

And just today, all of the 6A ports are getting no power the only 2 that works is the 2 fan ports
The fan port is the 2pins at the side, not the USB port labeled with "D", that's the "power-only" Port D.
For reference:

This is common issue of the power supply since the 2 slots have power but the other 4 slots do not have power it means the power supply is not giving enough power bloated or busted capacitors that I know that cause this issue.

Yeah I’ve tired with another pc psu I had lying around and it’s still not working, I don’t know if using the barrel instead of the 6pin would make a difference, but if it’s the capacitors I really need to research to see if it is or take it someone to be repaired

Thanks for your input - happy holidays

I purchased 2 GekkoScience USB Hubs from 419Mining back in April 2022

the first one I opened and used - nothing was wrong with it, the 2nd one I opened back in October, and one by one the powered USB ports started to not get any power

I've attached a USB reader to each port for testing and this was using a FutureBit ApolloBTC 200W Power Supply

And just today, all of the 6A ports are getting no power the only 2 that works is the 2 fan ports

My next step is to try to get the barrel-type power supply and continue to test, hopefully, it'll fix the problem.

Not sure if anyone else has experienced this with the GekkoScience USB Hub, really hope I can fix this hub

thx in advance
