You probably are using different clock settings between both the computers. The 7870 only gets 400+ mhash when you overclock it. I have to overclock mine to 1100 cpu to get 400mhash for example.

I got the one back up to 400MH/s putting it back in the original computer.  The second is still around 320MH/s.  Thought it was because it just wasn't as powerful running at 2560x1440 but seems to get the same numbers even when the monitor is disconnected.  Not really caring right now getting what I can from the video cards working on securing ASICs.

Ensure that the card's PCI-E connections are clean and all seated properly.  Any difference between the PCI-E version of the two computers or maybe memory speeds?  In particular, I need you to pay close attention to the power supplies.  If they're not supplying enough power, the cards will error with SICK messages.  This also happens if they overheat.

Both HIS 7870 standard not XT

1st one - Replaced a 7950 with a 7870 - I'm only getting 280MH/s - Cleaned drivers tried 12.x still not working.  Was getting 420MH/s in another computer.

2nd one - Really odd worked fine in another computer hashes really low or 0MH/s and then says SICK.  Reboots do not seem to help.  Full power cycle it may mine until I touch it.  Disabled in cgminer it does LTC just fine!
