I was opportune a week ago to visit a hospital in my terrain and I was forced to shape tears for the condition of people I saw there, how the less privileges and the poor were just hopeless, watching time to meet their creator.
I was so moody so I spoke with a young man why are you so down that you can't find courage, He said he has been out of insulin for over a month and he can't afford it any longer.
After inquiring I found out that a bottle of insulin injection is now 25000Naira and upwards. And I began to wonder how will a poor type 1 diabetic in Nigeria survive?

Without insulin injection, no type 1 diabetic and ofcourse many type 2 diabetic will survive. They will slowly die within months. This is scary indeed.

Our government need to help out 🙏  in the medical centres, people are really going through alot and they need help!

I hope one day diabetes will have a cure.
We All know how bad the Nigerian government is, how they treats their citizens badly, but in this case how did want the government to help out? Like If the Insulin was actually not available in the hospitals it’s a different case but for you expecting the government to treat each individual that is sick in the hospital is not going to happen. Even in advance countries I don’t think the government go about treating each individual.

Most of us nowadays don’t really care about our health, we are all just to focused on how to make money. We all know money makes the world go round but also how can a sick person enjoys his wealth. I know a lot of people who even barely exercise, okay we know you might be busy during the weekdays with work and so but how about during weekends, you can possibly register for Gym or even go jogging. Exercising can prevent you from a lot of sickness. Like how often do you hear an Athlete get sick, they could get injure but they barely get sick.

Lastly I would just say no matter how little you earn, always have a health insurance. This is very much important than some investment you get involved in. No matter what your health comes first, imagine not been able to afford an insulin of 25000Naira, and that man could have been working for years, so if he had been on health insurance since his working days he wouldn’t have ended up just sitting and thinking of how his life is going to end. As we invest and plan for our future we should also plan for our health in the future.

sickness is something that's universal. Even in the most sophisticated nation, people still fall sick and although government have the responsibility of ensuring that hospitals are functioning and well equipped, it's never the primary responsibility of the government to provide for all the medications of sick patients. As a person you've got to try your best to remain healthy and even when you fall sick, you've got to still try to work out means within your power to get the required treatment that will bring you back to being healthy. Our population is too much and if government start buying all the drugs that patient needs in the hospital, it wouldn't take up to a single year before they exhaust the full budget without doing other things.

It's important we know that our lives is first of all our personal responsibility and any other thing that comes after that in form of help is just a plus that's never to be felt entitled to. You've got to try and make we much money as you can while you're still healthy so I'm case sickness comes unplanned, you should be able to treat yourself without necessary looking for external help.

This is part of the reason why it's necessary that we don't take our investment jokingly, while we're still working and earning, it's necessary we invest into asset that will bill us out in times when health or life's challenges might visit us. As much as our leaders can help us in some ways, our life is our responsibility and that's something we should never forget.

Government cant do everything for it citizens. They have limits to what they can offer to public. even the ones provided freely are sold in the government pharmacy. The best advice I will give anyone is to always go to the hospital and check your suger level to know how to control it earlier before it becomes worst. Sometimes negligence and ignorant is the reason for such act. taking everything so common until it becomes worst. Health is wealth they said not until it gets to worst.

What annoys me the most is that most people were  diagnosed for being diabetic and ask to reduce the intake of most sugery substance, usually becomes disobedient by taken what was ask not of them to eat until it becomes worst. I have encountered numerous number of people who are so stubborn to their health until it traps them down. What if i tell you that %70 of those diabetics patients you saw was the fault of their predicaments what will you say? Just like going to the prison the first time and looks at people face and actions and think they are innocent.

The truth of the matter is that we should try as much as possible to take care of ourself when necessary, don't expect it to get worst before going to the hospital. Diabetics has cure maybe you are the one who is not aware I would have shear some link, but here is not a place to promote other peoples business but you can search for herbal remedy for diabetics in Nigeria and they will show you.
