Because I work on office, my boss always control my jobs and stop behind me to watch my top left avatar, luckily he doesn't understand crypto.
What if it's best, don't open your privacy profile pages using office facilities? Maybe that will save you from getting fired. Be careful if your boss is a woman, they're more sensitive about hiding things even when forums have a "hide your avatar" feature.
Because posting forum is behind the job, certain, I always open bitcointalk between the coffee break. I don't want to sacrifice my main job.

I just tell you the important point, it will be great if we can hide the top avatar forever. And have a tick box to hide it.
So far, we can hide it by shrink or expand the hearder, it's temporary, when move to another page, we must shrink it again, and sometime forget to hide it, and exposed.

Well, that reminds me of a phenomenon a few years ago on the B&H board. (I forgot the username)

I just tried to visible all signature code & Avatar, but I still can see the ads on top page like rat03gopoh picture. Now, I understand why the administrator didn't open commercial ads like past.

So, what makes me more uncomfortable than the signature code & Avatar, is my avatar on the top left page, I don't know how to hide it, because when I tried opening each page, I must click again (-) on the top right page. He's still at Junior, which many campaigns aren't accepting. Wait until he ranks up to Member, things might change, who knows Wink

I would never hire someone who is very likely involved in merit trade (see my previous post), although for some it will be enough that someone earned 5 merits in 120 days. Post history is really classic bounty spam, and if the OP doesn't change drastically, there is no chance for any serious sig campaign.

It seems OP is not interested in any campaign. It's good. I took a personal note about him, just in case I need to restrict myself inviting to join any of my campaign in the future if he turns out to be a good forum member.

EDIT: Posting history shows a plethora of bounty posts.

I'm not trying to jump to conclusions, but I think something is off about this thread or is it just my feeling. smiiw (*slap me if im wrong).
I just wanna talk about "the speed of light"

Am I too sensitive?

We are talking about a time interval of 2 minutes, I don't think it's that fast. I've seen faster responses. The curious thing here is that it was literally two minutes, looking at the second.

But, just this week I saw a documentary about a plane crash, where the air controller and the plane pressed the button to talk at the same time, the information was not transmitted correctly.

So somehow if you get paid by any company to post but you ignore their avatar and signature completely, this step makes absolutely no sense to do so unless you are not interested in any campaign.

So showing signature and avatar is what they expect from you and every other user even if you find it bothered.
What they expect from me and what they expect from others is a totally different fact. They expect from me to wear their signature and avatar and make a quality post. Whether my post is bringing any benefit to them or not, will be evaluated by their ROI and the campaign manager. If I disable the signature and avatar, how am I putting their campaign down?

Avatar and signature also basically still show among other users (if they don't ignore them) even if you have adjusted those setting.
That's the exact point of mine too. Company is hiring me to display their signature and avatar to others and that's what I'm doing through my participation here. Don't get the point of how it's affecting the campaign in which I'm participating.

Lol, I think you've been friendly to him about this.  Cheesy

Company will pay him for promoting through his signature and avatar among other users, not for promoting to himself. So, I don't see it can be a problem. Forum allows me to ignore the signature and avatar. I can be irritated by signature and avatar, I can ignore them but when I'm wearing my signature and avatar, it will be shown among other users. Make sense I think.
Avatar and signature also basically still show among other users (if they don't ignore them) even if you have adjusted those setting. But I'm not sure whether or not that's what the project hiring you for is expecting, while I'm not sure it's good choice when you're annoyed with dozens of different user signature sets.

I'm starting to wonder how you have to be paid by certain companies for signature and avatars when you don't want to see their promotional banners being used by other participants? It just doesn't make any sense to me.

This forum allows your to ignore the signature and avatar, but I don't think the companies you're promoting want that from you. So showing signature and avatar is what they expect from you and every other user even if you find it bothered. I won't do it, it's done out of respect for the company I'm promoting as I would still love to see their avatar and signature used in many sections of the forum. If I'm only bothered by the avatar and signature of certain users [spammers & scammers in particular], then I just think their deserves on my ignore list.

According to the post history, this individual is in bitcointalk primarily for the purpose of participating in bounty campaigns. Even checking his own personal settings is beyond this person's time constraints.

Out of 591 posts, even 587 are in Bounties (Altcoins) and I wondered how he managed to get even 8 merits at all, and that brings us to this post for which he got even 5 merits - and more than obviously a classic merit abuse.

Given that @Groomerboll is tagged as an account/merits seller, the OP undoubtedly bought those 5 merits. I think that the OP opened this thread to try to get some merits, because this post talks about the fact that he needs 2 more merits for the next rank.

This sounds strange coming from someone with all its posts related to bounties. Once you have earned enough merit, I bet you will also use signatures and avatars and will also apply to campaigns. this might be a bit overboard and a little unnecessary but you can also ignore the gambling board if you don't want to see it. just go to Profile>Ignore Boards Preferences, then look for Gambling, Games and rounds., Investor-based games, and Gambling discussion, then click the box next to it and press "change profile".

Your question is basic and you got help to solve it already but I would like to help you discover about Forum help center.

It has some more basic SMF User Help for you and I believe you did not know all of them. You are new and you can use your time to read each tab in the Help center from Introduction • Registering • Logging In • Profile • Posting • Personal Message • Searching.

It's fine to do so, but indirectly it will only prevent you from seeing all the avatar and signature of any user on the forum unless you go to their profile. Not only do you ignore one and two of those user avatar and signature, but all users no longer display avatar and signature.

Almost all users above the full member rank now use signatures and avatars. And most of the users are busy with gambling site promotions.  I want to stay away from gambling.  So I want to ignore these promotions. Is it possible?  And how can it be done? help needed
