A lot of the mixers is a scam, even if they do start legit. Be very careful, always a chance you wont receive anything since its 100% anonymous.

Scam report example:

What happened::
Sent money to mixing 2 days ago since there is no answer and money

Amount Scammed: 10 ETH
Payment Method: ETH
Proof of Payment:
https://etherscan.io/address/0x6bbc9d60293bfaf35f2d20dd03017ab833586d74

Beaware guy , https://weimixer.com/ is a scam, lost my 1.3 ETH, but no worries, i was just trying out of curiosity to see from which new addresses i will receive funds like i had used bitmixer and they used to send from bitxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx  address.

Any scam reports by people that do not provide signed transaction information via PM or email has to be considered fake.

That address was not generated by our service.

We tell everyone on payment page to save signed message as proof that we do not scam if you can't post this signed message within 24hours then I believe everyone will know what your post is.

Though they have indeed ended their campaign after just a month or less. This is pretty suspicious why they gave up advertising so quickly.
They ended their campaign only in 2 weeks. The biggest mistake while they ran their campaign was because they hired so many spammers (it was pay/post, and imagine senior and higher rank could get $3 from each posts) whio only posted on their own thread, lol.

Too bad they didn't online again for almost a week, looks pretty suspicious.

Yep. I saw this coming from a mile away. Their website infrastructure was a copy paste, they had no dedicated campaign manager, but they did pay 3$/post, which is, pretty ridiculous for such a new service.

They had no escrow funds, no information about their bankroll, their site was, as far as i know, not even opensource.

How can you even say that our website is copy paste? Can you give any proof of this please.

Do you know any opensource mixer service? I never saw a centralized mixer service that was opensource.
All signature payments were sent on time and exact amounts that users have earned.

Only negative comments about our service are from a guy that didn't provide the only proof he has to provide which is the signed message, without this this nobody should believe those claims.

Its unfortunate that service like this that is coming new in the case of ETH colud turn out to be scam. There was this case earlier on where I had to point out the delay in responding but it was resolved one way that makes it looks like everything is legit and I have been keeping an eye on the service but unfortunately, it seems that was just an eye service in a way to attract the big players. I wonder how people could think that the only way to make money is to rip others of their resources?

This service had the potential to even be a trailblazer in ETH mixing but it appears they have thrown that into the winds and the most annoying is that, there nothing that can be done to retrieve the money back.

@Op can you give update on the matter?.

Exactly. I could be completely mistaken but then in my opinion they could just be getting some advertising and coverage of their site to make others click into the site thinking that they were legit. And then they can start selectively scamming big deposits.

This is further reinforced by the fact that they were pretty active on forum for the first few weeks but now hasn't logged in 1 week. Why this sudden drop off in activity and advertising when their site has just started to gain traction?

But this is indeed the only scam accusation i could find regarding weimixer. We'll see what their true intentions are soon.

Probably only trying to catch the big fishes, and hoping they don't report them, so they can stay in the business a little longer. Same thing as torwallet.com probably.

You know "mixer" is just a cute term for the phrase "money launderer". You are essentially asking somebody to disguise the money that you send to them - which usually means you got the bitcoin from somewhere shady in the first place. You are better off avoiding this sort of website altogether because most of the time the owner is well hidden and can run with your money.

Interesting. Try writing a post on their Ann thread here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2103097.20 and hope that you get a response. If not though then you just got ripped 0.7 BTC or so. Haven't heard anyone else complain about their service so it could just be an isolated case.

You have wrote to support right? And no response for 2 days? Just keep writing to them and hope for a response, all you can do right now.

According to your proofs it does look you have been and scammed and weimixer profile hasn't been active for 5 days since 4th of Sept this does look like a scam. It was a eth mixing and is the only one in this industry i did feel something suspicious over here as they ran a campaign but ended it too quickly unless the owner doesn't respond to this please avoid using weimixer.
