It was pretty clear that he and satoshi was two different persons. They exchanged emails with each others. A person diagnosed with ALS is not going to play hide and sick.

PS: There is someone who logged into Hal's account on March 30, 2017? Who it could be? His last post was on  August 10, 2013
In conclusion, there is no locking in an old account, and also theymos did not inform the community members that there is a locking of account in the year 2013-2014 lol  Grin

Maybe it's satoshi who logged in hal's account.  Cheesy

I don't think that this is true as because so far I haven't seen any announcement or even a post coming from theymos about locking of accounts. Also proving their inactive accounts will be hard especially when the "Stake your Bitcoin address here" thread was created in 2015, if they became inactive and has not posted any bitcoin address in that thread then they would have a hard time proving that they own that account.
Very interesting point of view, then it is obviously that the accounts are not locked and Satoshi can login again without any problem  Grin.

I have heard that Satoshi Nakamoto is probably dead because Satoshi was Hal Finney  Angry but who knows Wink

I feel so sad when people tag Hal Finney as Satoshi

But my life expectancy is limited
So if he was Satoshi there was no pointing in hiding it anymore, so I really don't think he was Satoshi.

Yeah, I have heard about it, one of them created Bitcoin and one wrote the whitepaper and also he was the community support.

And no one knows exactly the answer to my question?

You know I have read this so many times people still think Hal Finney was Satoshi. But trust me I don't think some one on a death bed will lie. He he was diagnosed of of ALS in 2009, he knew he is going to die soon. He said this in his post too

I do not want to continue with this OT, but I think that Hal Finney most likely be Satoshi because he was the first one who receuved bitcoin transaction and he also he lived nearby Dorian Nakamoto, it is just a coincidence?

Wait a second? So is "Satoshi's" account locked too???

Please I'm hoping one day he will return and will post something on bitcointalk... don't tell me if he decides so and tries to login but find's his account is locked.... what a bad feeling it would be?
He will create an alt claiming that he needs to recover his Satoshi account. No one will believe him. He will try to explain everyone but nothing will work. He will keep bumping the topic but theymos will never notice it  Grin

I think theymos has certain way to figure out who the real Satoshi is
and Satoshi could prove by signed message from any of the earlier bitcoin addresses that he used for receiving block rewards
unless he also lost access to all those addresses too Tongue
I'm more worried about bitcoin price if Satoshi ever returns, recovers his BTC and sells them off Shocked

Only the inactive accounts (before 2015 I think). To recover their account they need to follow the requirement. To know it, they just need to read the sticky thread on this board.
How long it takes is up to the Admins (and/or the mods if they can unlock it)

Hello, I have heard that old bitcointalk accounts from 2013-2014 are automatically locked to prevent hacking these accounts.
It is true? Because I see many people here have locked accounts and they can´t access to their accounts for a long time. How long does it take to unlock the account approximately?
