Living proof that satoshi ID need to be kept anonymous, so that the world need to focus more on the system he created, not the human who created it. Because under scrutiny, any human will have flaws and errors.

good thing, satoshi went *poof* like Keyser Soze and just like that, he was gone ....

Now the whole BTC economy is hurtin.. two birds with one stone for the US GOV

It's not that bad. Bitcoin is resilient, the price will rebound eventually.

I have no doubt bitcoin will bounce back, but saying it's, "not that bad" is an understatement. This is huge. Bitcoin got most of it's press because of Silkroad and Silkroad continued to be a big part of Bitcoin. If you read the police report they talk about Silkroad having billions of dollars worth of transactions. Not to mention the fact that they talk about DPR hiring a hitman with bitcoins. Whether that's true or not the news stations will love that. They'll be happy to throw bitcoin under the bus.

Human error this early on is what got him busted.  He didn't expect SR to become so popular, and so he wasn't as cautious as he should have been right from the start.  Now the whole BTC economy is hurtin.. two birds with one stone for the US GOV

This idea that the US Gov views bitcoin as some kind of existential threat is a bit naive. So is the idea that the US gov is one monolithic body with one viewpoint.

Hello, sorry if there is another thread for this kind of post, but I couldn't find one.  I'm looking for the best and brightest IT pro in the bitcoin community to be the lead developer in a venture backed bitcoin startup company.  The ideal candidate would have at least several years of web application development experience, having built applications from the ground up.  A solid understanding of oop and software architecture is a must.  Experience in a start-up environment is a plus, or just being super hard working, self-motivated, and creative.

Compensation can be in the form of equity or a salary, or somewhere in-between.

If interested, please send your answers to the following questions to rossulbricht at gmail dot com

1) What are your qualifications for this position?
2) What interests you about bitcoin?

From there, we can talk about things like compensation and references and I can answer your questions as well.  Thanks in advance to any interested parties.  If anyone knows another good place to recruit, I am all ears.
