It will be interesting to see what will happen to the price after the 50k auction but i don't think it will affect the price much.

Interesting source though, my stoned brain often tells me to buy.

Of course it could still go down from here. Even below $100! At best we're only slowly getting back into a bull market now but we're definitely not there yet!
That being said, I don't think we see prices below $100 again - ever. Back in 2011 people also waited for things to go below $1...

People said that about $300. People also said that $300 had a lot of buy support, and now $200. But then nobody can really know. IMO it's a good time to buy and accumulate right now, regardless of price.

Lets be real, it has been a living nightmare to bring it down under 200$, and it bounced back up like a ping-pong ball, and with every step back the struggle was greater, so what in the world would make someone think it can go below 100$? I may be too optimistic, but i dont think i am, its more realistic than optimistic. Under 200 ? no problem, it may happen, but under 100 i think never again.
I would personaly love it if that happens, but i wouldnt sell a satoshi even if i were starving to death, i would just buy more and more, until blisters appear on my finger from pressing "buy btc"

If the 50k coins at an auction would be sold at the same time that would really make a price panic Tongue

Think about it. We're at a major tipping point in the life cycle of Bitcoin, a 'make or break' if you like. The price has been dropping for longer than it's ever dropped and is now entering into the 'despair' phase of this price bubble.

It will bounce back up of course, but before it can climb confidently there has to be a steep, brief plunge downwards into the 'oh shiiiiIt' price range - the sub-100

It wont stay there for long, few will get $80/90, but only until this psychological barrier as been breached can the recovery begin

Source: my stoned brain

Thanks!   Cool

It is possible but I think there will be a lot of support sub-200$ as we have seen last time it went under 200$.

I started a specific thread and asked this question about it dropping below 100...people keep insisting it can't get any lower and I wanted to know why can't it...what's the actual reason or reasons it can't and it appears there's not one other than they think "it just can't" because they say so.

Some people insist it won't get below $100 others insist its on its way to zero. I insist those things too.
happy pancake day !

You can't insist both will happen, you have to pick one or the other.

zero value its highly unlikely going to happen, below $100 is plausible but it will take time to happen.

That offer has been open for far too long on this spec forum with all the bearturds posting their nonsense but not addressing nor taking you up on your offer. Go figure.. I'd contribute to picking those sellers off as well in terms of scooping their unvaluable coins.

So, i think your speculation might be wrong Roll Eyes

247$ now, and i think its going to continue to fall until 235-240$, then a push upwards again, there was too much volume for this push to slow down

I don't mind arguing or debating or speculating what bitcoin can and can't do but I'm still learning and would love it if the ones who make some definitive claim or assertion would kindly add a statement of fact or reasoning before they hit the post button.

That all being said, I find this little meme best describes bitcoin's price. Once you accept this, you can still play and ride the ride but also know when to step off and go get a corn dog for awhile and let it do what it's going to do without anxiety or "oh shiiiiiiittttt!!"

My buying strategy is that there's a certain amount of money I tend to spend on frivolous bs, entertainment or whatever each month. I forego all that and use it to buy bitcoin. It's not a sentiment that I can afford to lose it or not, it's more a sentiment I'd blow this on crap anyway, usually one time shot things out of sheer boredom so instead I'll spend it on buying bitcoin at an intriguing price. If it drops to 0, it would've been gone anyway. It if shoots up, depending on range, I'll spend some and hold onto the rest. Even dropping to 190 range recently didn't freak me out. I hoped it'd go lower so I could buy more for less.

If it ever drops below $100, nothing/noone can stop it from falling further down to $2-5 level in no time. However, I don't think it will ever go below $100. We are far past the point of $100 level.

if bitcoin goes under $100 only a few lucky people will have the chance to buy at that price.
it will most likely be sort of a flash crash.

He might be right. Marshall will dump hard, also, there is a lot of negative energy around bitcoin in the air. I am not planning to buy at 200$, waiting for 100-125$. Real bottom might be around summer.

Thanks!   Cool
