Winklevii outmaneuvered again. It just won't stop.

itbit's chartered trust route was pretty shrewd. Looks like they're paying off the right contacts with board seats. Anybody trade there? Looks like their volume is at 4k btc today?

I won't be using this exchange but this can't be anything other than good news.
It's small but every couple of months there seems to be steps being taken to regulate bitcoin now.
It hasn't had much positive impact on the price YET but it will eventually.

There are a number of things in the pipeline which added to this will attract new investors & new money into bitcoin.
I predict great things for bitcoin in the next 12 months people.
Don't miss the train because once it's gone it's gone.

I tested Itbit about half a year ago and decided to never use them, because it is (at least was, I don't know how they are now) a bad small exchange. I tested several other small exchanges that time and all of them, even "indacoin" were better than itbit.

New York State’s top financial regulator has granted the first license to a Bitcoin exchange, allowing it to open legally to customers across the country

The trust company charter gives itBit a banklike status and appears to make it the winner in a race among Bitcoin exchanges to become the first to be fully regulated in the United States.

ItBit avoided the need for a BitLicense by instead applying for a trust company charter, which appears to come with even stricter regulations. It is the first trust company to be created in New York since the financial crisis.

impressive, i'd say.  Smiley

Licensed in 50 states, without having to go through painful state by state MSB licensing?
