Send me three Bitcoins,I will change the world.

The question is in a title, the link is an example.

Is it allowed to post it even in an April Fool Day?

That can be a fool but can be a scam.

Is any fool with money acceptable?

Unfortunately I can no longer see this topic because it seems to have been deleted. However, topics like that in my opinion are very bad, even if it was done in April Fool, the chance of being deceived (for those who send it) is very large, it is important for us to continue to monitor and pay attention to topics that we think lead to scams and report them immediately to the mod.

Soliciting Bitcoins, even as a joke, can potentially be misleading or misinterpreted by others. Scams aren't cool any day of the year. Even if it's a joke, it can be hard to tell online and might trick someone out of their money.

Even if you think it's a joke, someone might take it seriously and lose money.

It’s not acceptable to post such content, even if it’s intended as a joke.

Nah, that's not allowed that's why the topic has been deleted already. I never celebrated this day, until this forum celebrated it with me by fooling me. Its a great activity to give a little shock to each other. So, I guess in April fool, people try to give shocks (surprise, prank) to each other, not ask for money and make statements that are impossible.

We should only believe those words which are at least possible and can be followed by its narrated. Besides, asking money on this forum is not a good thing, plus an exception might be made if the OP of the post is some higher rank member as people judge things by there cover. So, if a higher rank member will post such thing, then I assume that might not be deleted in the first place. Just a POV, no trying to attack any rank member.

No. There's no joke there. April fools isn't a day where the regular rules don't apply. You couldn't try to scam someone under the premise of today's date.
Some people do not know the extent to which they can prank someone, and do not understand what the limit is on April fool's day. It should be harmless pranks, not pranks that can potentially make someone lose their money, valuable or even their life.
Not everything should be a prank, because everything cannot be a prank.

Good reaction time, before some newbie to the forum and to investing in bitcoins bumps into the post and decide to try it out because the poster is a member of this forum that has a good name.

Someone should send him 3 btc to that address just to see if he sends it back. This will confirm whether it is an April Fool's joke or not. Who's going to do it?

HAHA, that got a chuckle out of me not gonna lie.

But what are the grounds of this forum regarding begging? Cause donations are a no-go for people who aren't trustworthy, and we have a system for that, but for this particular matter we know for sure we don't stand to gain shit from this one, cause no one in their right minds will hold him accountable for changing the world lol. So is begging like that a bannable offense here, or do we allow shit like this to proliferate within the forum cause in my opinion these should be regulated and moderated by the folks. We can't have every newbie in here begging for shit, since it's going to ruin the whole narrative of the forum, and eventually we'll have every single new account here, possibly botted and faked, asking for money, which will ruin the forum more than "mixers" ruined it.

At the end of the day, it's April Fools, nobody's gonna take this guy seriously, although I'm almost tempted to send him 3 bitcoins just because lol, and then bug him until next April Fools regarding his plans for changing the world for the better. LOL.

but I think it was done with the sole purpose of "making people laugh" and not "ripping someone off".

I don't know what was the intention of the OP when he wrote it. Maybe you're right and it was only for making people laugh, but we wouldn't know it until someone sent him the 3 Bitcoins and he returned them (or not). Knowing that there is no other way to undo the transaction, it was too great a danger to run to clear up doubts.

I left a comment on that post, it looked funny and I'm sure no one will be fooled by that post. But he was quite creative in making it

It might be an April Fools Joke but it’s a pretty pathetic effort to pull off a scam.

Anybody who sends 3BTC to a random guy on bitcointalk, really can’t be helped and if it wasn’t to him, they’re going to get scammed, hacked or drained elsewhere any way. Let’s just call it Darwinism.

I think the guy decided to make a joke with a double meaning. It is clear to everyone here that no one will donate a cent to such an idea, and the way people react shows their level of sense of humor. But seeing how this joke was quickly demolished and not given the expected merit, you can understand that it was not a success.

That's clearly a beggar taking advantage of today, bruh. It's obvious that he's just after the money. Imagine asking for 3 BTC and saying you'd change the world, is that not a lame line? The only world that will be changing is his.. Sad

it's true that a bit of everything comes up on the forum... Roll Eyes tons of scams each day... certainly no one would ever make a donation like that, it's practically equivalent to being scammed.
different if it were a case of begging for money... that is generally not tolerated including particular days...

To me that is a clear case of begging. The address is an existing address, I could understand that it is a joke if it was a non-existing address, or if it contained aprilsfools' in the letters, something like that. But no, he is hoping that someone will send him 3 bitcoins, more than to change the world, his own life, I would say.

If in doubt about the if a post is appropriate, you can report it with the rule you suspect them of breaking and the mods will decide what to do with it.

Scam is not moderated, but begging is not allowed.
