I'm confused... when is bitcoin friday 2013?

November 15th.

YOKU should probably edit the OP with link to new thread. bitcoinfriday.com (mentioned in OP) is offline.

EDIT: PMed him.

BitcoinFriday.com redirects now.

I'm still confused... it says 11/29/2013 on bitcoinfriday2013.com.

Quality Bitcoin T-shirts for sale from UK based Bitcoin only retailer.

100% cotton and now with free worldwide shipping...

http://thevillageidiotme.ipage.com/shop.html

lol. bought one.

one criticism towards bitcoin t-shirts in general: WHY ARE THE GRAPHICS SO HUGE?

just put 'em on the chest, where a pocket would be.

Thank you.

I am currently getting shirts made with just a simple embroided Bitcoin logo on the breast. I'm getting them made in a few differnet colours and when they are done I will photograph them and add them to my store.

very good!

Allthingsluxury.biz had huge success last bitcoin friday. We offered massive discounts and would definitely like to offer these discounts to the community once again this year.

This is a bloody good way to drum up business. ^ These guys make some nice stuff, by the way! Smiley

I was checking out the website.  I'd like to see a few more expensive items including some diamonds and/or birth stones.  I'm looking for a birthstone option for my wife who is expecting in April.

If you want to reach out to me directly, that may be helpful, cuz I may purchase something on Bitcoin Friday, but didn't find anything yet when I was browsing.  We have a month if you are able to add any new products.

Anyone knows if something like this is planned for this year?
I don't know.
Website seems to not be online ATM.

I believe JonHolmquist was the driving force behind this last year. He would be the first person I would try to contact (which I may do if I can find the time to sit down in front of my computer for more than ten minutes in a row).

Thx. PM'd him.

I sent an e-mail to what's listed in his profile.

Any word yet on a date?

He said they will start the landing page in a couple of days. This was a couple of days ago.

Don't know if there is a date.

Ended up getting a pair of socks, some silver, and some casascius coins.  I really enjoyed it, now there's just a few outstanding questions I have:

1) how much of a swing did merchants see on Friday compared to regular volume?
2) Assuming merchants are planning on converting BTC to fiat, will that cause any swings on exchanges, or will it remain flat because of equal number of customers buying BTC to replenish what was spent?
I tied https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bitcoin-friday-the-fallout-merchants-how-did-we-do-123624 phishing around for this info, with little succes sofar. On my part I propably wont convert to fiat anytime soon.

BitcoinCoffee.com is sold out of all coffee this week (it's on its way!), so to make up for it, not only can you PRE-ORDER your first dibs on freshly roasted, PREMIUM Celebes Sulawesi Kalossi coffee beans.

ALSO: Use code "BTCFRI" for 20% off all orders ALL THE WAY UNTIL 11/17/2012

Why? We wanted to make sure that everyone gets the 'Bitcoin Friday' discount since we are low on inventory.

You can't be a real Bitcoiner without a pair of genuine Alpaca socks. That's what I said to myself when I ordered them today (they are 20% off). Luckily, I won yet another pair for free (each 4th order gets this!). Wow. Seems I should switch to solo mine till the luck sticks to me.  Wink

oh, and I would've loved to visit room 77. It's really a shame I haven't been... only 3 hours by train to Berlin. I bet they're having a good party with the free shots.

Year me too. Getting drunk with some fellow bitcoiners would be a first timer for me. It would be an 11 hour ride for me though , but the train goes almost direct. Could have slept on the way back.

scanning a QR code and paying in seconds still amazes me.

Year, that the really awesome thing about bitcoin. When I purchased something for the first time. I was like "What, wait. I have already paid yet!"

The first purchase that goes as fast and easy as this it what gets you really hooked at Bitcoin, because in this moment you realise how superior it is.

scanning a QR code and paying in seconds still amazes me.

Year, that the really awesome thing about bitcoin. When I purchased something for the first time. I was like "What, wait. I have already paid yet!"

The first purchase that goes as fast and easy as this it what gets you really hooked at Bitcoin, because in this moment you realise how superior it is.

It's interesting to see that so many people seem to actually use bitcoin to buy something for the first time.

Makes me think this friday is a good idea Wink

Unfortunately for me, I either already purchased the products (alpaca socks, VPN, ...) on offer or the shipping is prohibitively expensive to europe (honey, chocholate,...)

oh, and I would've loved to visit room 77. It's really a shame I haven't been... only 3 hours by train to Berlin. I bet they're having a good party with the free shots.

Wink

Managed to release a new double album for Bitcoin Friday, 1/3 off today. If you like a bit of glitchy ambient electronica, check out Stillium Deluxe on CoinDL (thanks again, weex!)

The 2 albums are also available separately with over a third off each: see here and here

Also bought "Bright is the Silence" from CoinDL today - scanning a QR code and paying in seconds still amazes me.

Just bought an e-Book at CoinDL. Really impressed at how easy it has been to pay with bitcoins.
Thanks Shawshank, Bitcoin Friday has been a nice success so far from the numbers I'm seeing at CoinDL. Though we didn't implement any sort of Bitcoin Friday discount, it appears sellers are lowering prices on their own to participate. If you see something you like, you can have it in seconds....it truly is a unique buying experience.

Bought the bitcoin magazines. Man, paying with bitpay is so awesome. It's so smooth, you'd almost think you forgot to fill out some fields.

My thoughts exactly.

...gotta love Bitcoin.

It's Friday, and bitcoinfriday.com is down.
Yup.

Yep, a mirror of the site with every merchant would come in handy to prevent this kind of annoyances.
