good sell, cause whats best that can happen this week? maybe newegg takes BTC? cant see it doing much on price

considering moving 10% in to sell but its a gamble really, its not that important either.  pain in the arse having to have long term holdings i reckon.

Horrible month for Bitcoining...

China just wants to get to fk asap to allow the market to take the full force of the blow and then get back to business.

Just a couple of days ago the market was perking up and now it's having a rest we're already bored? Patience my dear chaps. Patience!  Wink

U Mad!?

It perked up and faltered well short of a very important resistance level. It then took a marked nose dive back down to 'pre perk up' levels, followed by a meagre bounce, with a slippery down trend forming. I shall go to bed tonight without any buy-ins lined up as if this sucker does go down, then I would have no idea where to place my bets, especially with this Huobi thing going on. I could wake up tmorrow and see Bitcoin trading in $700s, or if there is some significantly negative 'China' news whilst I am in dreamland, perhaps in the $400s!

Face facts T.Stuart, over the long term, Bitcoin may well reward your $1000 per coin investments, but in the immediate term all signs are a pointing towards a bear trend and I am not giving any of my money to the bear.

BTC is hugely more popular but thats since october, what about since further back?

I don't think further back matters. The fundamentals of Bitcoin have changed. It has started an early adopter phase in businesses and in VC capital and growth development. This is only going to grow larger. One day, in the not too distant future there won't be arguments about "if" bitcoin will survive. The arguments will shift to how much of an impact it can have.

I think $10 a day in growth is a conservative long term estimate and a realistic intermediate term one.

I see a market that has increased on average $10 a day since mid October.

I see a market that is in price discovery phase and goes up and down as it is overbought and oversold.

I see a market where a certain amount of new fiat enters it every week.

So I expect that the $10 per day upward trend will more or less win out whether we have good news or bad or whether we go up or down tomorrow or this week or the next day or next week.

few days back i didnt take a $60 loss on a trade it cost me $1k in the end, felt like shit.  hey do what you like though, im still holding 60% btc and dont think i will sell no matter news maybe thats crazy

Ja, just sold at $853.....that makes for another stint of pointless trading but I just don't see any upside on the charts here, and that is without taking the Huobi possibilities into account.

Get the same feeling now as I did this morning when I was looking at $870 prices whilst holding $890 coins. I knew a nose-dive was on the cards and lined up my buy-ins accordingly, yet I never took the loss on the 3 coins that I bought at $890. If I had, I would have taken a small profit just then....albeit a totally pointless small profit but better than a pointless small loss.

LOL @ the anxiety crippled nÜb sitting holding $1000 Bitcoins:

ok its for sure going down in a few hours this time

 Tongue

but 24-48 hours i need this time,

prediction reason: china bank will shut down huobi business bank account

Yep...this has me sweating streaks of piss into my pants. Huobi gets served with any kind of 'suspension', then this sucker is going down big time.

I foolishly bought a few expensive coins, but then wisely bought some cheap coins, but not enough as I wanted as i had the heavy end of my buy ins $5-$10 lower than it fell to on Stamp.

Currently need $860 to break even...contemplating on whether to sell now and take a small loss (but secure USD), or wait and see if I can break even or even take a small profit.

!! TIME TO KNEEL BEFORE KARHU AND REPENT!!

Spare me Karhu! I was lead astray!
I beg of you, let me out of Bitcoin with my shirt still on my Back!

This trend will hold itself in a weak way for another few days probably. Especially with all the news, it could be weeks, or until China takes a shit again (which can always be tomorrow).

Looks like a break to the upside....

I reckon another gradual trend up is on the cards, stopping short of last $1000 high and then correcting.

It was a stupid sell, had I waited an hour I could have gotten $920-$930, so yeah, I was pissed off.

But Bitcoin is now $820, it went as low as $765 and it is going lower, much lower. So do i feel like a plonker? A bit, but overall not really? Are you a plonker for holdin when you should have sold? Most definitely!

We will see who is placing their bets in the right direction before this weekend is out for sure.

Without drawing lines on charts or anything like that, the increasing reticence of market participants to commit to Bitcoin during this post correction consolidation period indicates to me that the barrels are going to tip down the ways and soon. Most market players are in Bitcoin for profit, and I don't smell any profit in the immediate near term and neither will anyone else.

Oh yeah, and if you are trading on Gox (you seem to have Gox prices in your head which are bullshit prices), how do you get by waiting 6 weeks for each scrap of money that you attempt to withdraw?

i don't use mtgox pal

Then why are u quoting 915 as being the Bitcoin price.

I sold at $880, bitcoin is now $820. How does this equate in anyone's mind as a bad move?

didn't say it was a bad move, it just depends what you will buy at again.

Maybe cause everyone is taking btcs off the market and selling them  Roll Eyes

Maybe not, but who knows

without some seriously BAD news occurring in the world regarding BTC, it's not going to drop that much.
there is no volume sell possible that would reduce the value from 900 to 600... and even if that were to happen, the 20minute clock would tick and it would simply ramp up again... what i'm seeing is as close to a stable as we have had ^600. it may dip to 800, but not further, like I say, without some seriously negative political press.

Considering that it costs most British people between 3% - 5% to get money over to Bitstamp, this is tell's me that LocalBitcoin volume is very low and that sellers believe that their coins are going to be worth less tomorrow, not more.

what you need to consider is the price I trade at... and then consider the shape of a single ramp... currently (still) the tick ramp is going up quicker than it is coming down. In my book, that's a good indicator for me. I make a living out of this stuff. Long live BTC.

It's sloppy, but neckline 950ish, head at 875, shoulder bottoms 900, target 1000-1050.
