I'll push it up to .08 if that will make you happy. This is the first day the thread has been up and there are already hits. Getting more columns isn't any different than just a few, there's a delimiter and a carriage return, and some format that the file is in. Naming the columns may take more time if it isn't in the file, but if you're pressed for time I can figure the names out. I'm not in any rush to get this work done, either.

Anyways, more is better. I'd like to have as many fields as possible so that I wouldn't have to ask later for something that is missing. Having album name, artist, song name, year, would be at the top of the list.

What information are you trying to have in the CSV? Which iTunes fields?

Yarr, I've tried opening in notepad. That works, but the format is somewhat gibberish. You could try opening in notepad then changing to save as utf-8 or some other text type, then libreoffice or google docs.

I tried to import it to a Google Docs spreadsheet, it says "Too large to import. Remove rows or columns and try again." no matter what settings I try.
LibreOffice just freezes when I try to add it to a sheet with tab and semicolon as delimiters.

An ipod that I tried to backup/recover music from for a friend has been corrupted.
There are errors on the disk and scndsk just shrugs at it. I ran a program to check the blocks and some are turning up red. The good news is that I seem to be able to read the list of songs and playlists on the ipod using copytrans. I would like to preserve the metadata content of the list in .csv file format. I'm thinking that this is contained in the itunesdb file, which I have access to. I've tried various ways to get at this file to no avail (http://www.joescafe.com/tunes2html/, and have exchanged emails with the copytrans tech support.) The file is 31mb. I've seen rewards in this thread start at .05 BTC, so I'll start there.
