Any issues with this approach also exist with your device. Your device just contains even more issues due to its closed source code, which I assume is a backdoor only reason it is not in the open is it contains malicious secrets. The difficulty of trezor shipping some modified hardware in mass scale and not being detected when the hardware itself is open source design is nil given that the hardware is more easy to audit (and less than yours given you don't even have open source hardware and your hardware is harder to audit). The problem is your device contains all the same risks as trezors device PLUS the additional risk of the closed source software.

I used to like the Trezor better, due to the buttons being better mainly. But I liked the Ledger Nano S better now because it's a bit more portable and easy to pocket compared to the Trezor. Also, the Ledger Nano S looks like a flash drive, which is a plus, since the Trezor would probably look more valuable for thieves.

I have purchased a Ledger Nano S hardware wallet before, and I really like the wallet function and the security card that comes together in the box just makes it a perfect hardware wallet for me, I have heard a lot of good reviews on Trezor too, but the selling price is kind of pricey for me so I decided to go ahead with Ledger Nano S and I never regret my decision for choosing it  Smiley

After spending time with the Trezor, Keepkey and Ledger Nano S, I've settled on my favourite hardware wallet.
