...or you can just join pool which switches mining currency according current profitability so you don't waste any time (after setting up automatic transfers and auto trades on some exchange) like multipool.us

Of course if purpose of answers in this thread was to fool noobs that mining altcoins is not profitable then I am giving up.

so that is big NOOO.
even when some coins are more profitable then btc the are usually more profitable by small amount off profitability and not by 4-5 times.
Actually when some "new" coin gets some coverage it often goes up very quickly, e.g. Doge at 400% of Litecoin revenue for a couple of days, Sexcoin was even 10x more profitable than Litecoin for a day or two.
But yes, if you consider the extra time needed to check alternatives that is pretty much a waste of time. 30%+ is fairly common on scrypt currencies, assuming you dont value your time.

Ther is no sha-256 coin more profitable than btc.
Ofc, there is allways one failsafe way to earn more than mining BTC, and thats merged mining. Get some namecoins and others as well for free.
And there usually are others that are worth more, but that changes pretty much daily. So only worth while if you switch very quickly before difficulty increases, have a pool with a low mininum and confirmation and get the coins quickly enough to an exchange...

I would sell the Jalapeno on ebay for app. 250 USD, buy Radeon 7950 instead and would start making 0.01 BTC per day from mining scrypt altcoins...
Not going to get 0.01BTC out of a 7950 anymore, about half that. Unless you go pool hopping ...

bad idea also.
computer with 1 gpu is sucking more electricity than earning any coin in a month.

Thats what my research suggested just wanted to make sure.. thanks. What about pools from what I can tell 0.01 BTC every 5 days seems to be the best atm from all the pools.

Any ideas on which SHA 256 I can turn my 7.2 Gh's miner onto, as soon I'm going to be making less than 0.01 BTC a week from the pool I'm at, or an alternate pool where I may have a chance to maintain 0.01 ish a week?

Thanks
