hi there

Got multimeter, and the result was that power brick was dead. BFL was surprinsly fast and they sent new power brick already. Expecting to have it in a week or two.. letäs hope it will run longer than previous one  Cool But i'll let you know if i need another options.. ATX PSU sure sounds more solid and stable than these what we get...

in Nigeria you guys are tough (or stupid) but anyway points to troll-trying and to a funny thing.  My order date was something like end of 12/2012 but i'm pretty sure that production rate is now increasing with great number. What comes to new power brick, BFL's RMA policy is working (hopefully) an i'm getting new one.. so there is support available! But chanberg, I would like to know where are you shipping from with 0.15 btc and are the specs exactly 13V 6A?

I would find another power brick. A laptop power supply should work. I think  it comes with a 13v 6amp brick.
Anything from 10v to 14v with enough amp should work. BTW what was your order date. I have a April 3rd 2013 date for a Jally.

You can hook it up to a 12V car battery. That's how we mine here in Nigeria.

To test power brick, put the ends in your mouth. If it tickles the tongue, it has power.

hello everyone,

I got my jalapeno yesterday. Hooked it up with raspberry pi and cgminer. I got it working (noise was much louder than expected, btw) and it hashed well about 30mins, rate being promised 4.5ghs or so. However I needed to boot raspberry pi so I decided to turn off jalapeno too -> unplugged cables from jalapeno on the fly. After reboot, I tried to start it again. Plugged cables in. Here comes the thing: Jalopeno keeps quiet, no red light, no fan spinning, no known usb devices found. So my question is: Did my power brick died, or did jalapeno died somehow? (That is some mystic problem if so). I don't own multimeter - so I can't check the power brick.. So here I am.. Asking that am I only one who is facing this kind of a problem or is this usual thing for these power bricks (or jalopenos).. Also if someone knows where to get new power brick fast and cheaply that meets requirements 13V 6A(??) I'm looking forward to know..
