Unreal right?  This was a real message that Mr. Seibel posted in our CLAM discord channel.  I was so disgusted that I almost fell out of my chair.

What makes this even worse is that Mr. Seibel was then supplied a free fix for the Poloniex CLAM wallet (I believe it was a single line of code to ignore dust deposits that were killing Poloniex's wallet).  Mr. Seibel never took that advice and allowed the CLAM wallet to continue to be broken. The CLAM trading market was never paused. Poloniex continued to profit from the CLAM market the entire time.

The CLAM wallet continuing to be broken prevented CLAM users from depositing CLAMS to the market.  This allowed "the attacker" to easily manipulate the CLAM market resulting in a 1,800 BTC loss for Poloniex/Circle.  Poloniex/Circle then passed that loss along to their customers.  https://www.coindesk.com/margin-lenders-lost-13-5-million-in-may-to-poloniex-crypto-crash

I firmly believe that James Seibel negligence, in this case, is, in fact, criminal. https://definitions.uslegal.com/c/criminal-negligence/

I strongly advise people to avoid companies that employees James Seibel or is founded by Mr. Seibel.  Poloniex/Circle passed on the 1,800 BTC loss to customers after all. https://www.altcoinbuzz.io/crypto-news/finance-and-funding/poloniex-users-threaten-to-sue-the-exchange-after-clam-flash-crash-resulted-in-a-13-5m-loss/

I noticed some interesting stuff about Poloniex this weekend as well:  https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.52804694

It appears Poloniex was riddled with bad characters from the ground/up.  I am so thankful to see Poloniex getting kicked the fuck out of 'Murica (see my link above).
