Well Japan is one of the best destination when it comes to tourism due to it's beautiful tourist destination, hospitality and discipline. With regards to Japan being a hot spot for iGaming destination I think this will be great since we all know Japanese are creative in many ways and also they are really advance in regards to technology, this is an advantage if they will be making online-casinos.

I tried to read up past comments or post if there are Japan citizens who do speak out about this matter but it seems theres no one who can verify such current

gambling situation into this country but since we can make presumptions basing on their possible actions that they would made ahead.If they do consider out

It's very weird that the Japanese government suddenly made a U-turn regarding their tough laws against gambling, it's a criminal offense as far as I know. Neighboring countries like Macau and even the Philippines and Singapore is the destination if you wanted to play on casino's on the Asian region so it really surprises me to see that they are now opening their doors.

I do really like as Japanese government has to allow igamble in the country and since Japan is one country that is highly disposed to cryptocurrencies and blockchain I do be that most of the blockchain related gambling sites are going to take advantage of this to expand their business.

I read Japan has some cities and roads so clean even the gutters contain fish in them. Thats a pretty foreign almost impossible idea to most of us from the majority of cities in the world, there is often litter everywhere and dirt and pollution that would wipe out anything sensitive like this quite quickly.

I imagine Japan similar to China needs to declare a special area of development and commerce on gambling and open tourism so that the wider country is not so disturbed as it might be otherwise.

Agree, they kept their traditions and cultures being preserved and for that even their tourist spots needs to be well taking cared, they will not allow outsiders to ruined what they've already have decades ago, they value things and it will stay that way.

Macau definitely. I don't remember if Philippines finally got it's own gambling complex, they're more spread out. Not sure about Singapore, I was under the impression that their government discourage it.

This just might work though. The Communist Party seems to be trying to wean Macau off gambling.

Exactly and trust me this is going to be epic. Japan has been among the top destination when it comes to tourism and has been making good revenue from its tourism industry but the iGaming thing is going to attract more people. Well you are right. Gambling being illegal in Japan would not attract many hard rockers but I think people who badly want to gamble find ways out to gamble. Like RACE in sports is something you could gamble or bet on and there are I think four kinds of races run and gambled on in Japan prominent among which is Horse racing. Yeah there might be local casinos as well.

Japan seriously needs to consider changing its laws regarding gambling. The country is losing billions of USD in revenue every year, as the gamblers are traveling to Macau and Thailand to take part in various gambling activities. Also, technology has made the world much closer than before and it is not viable to have the activity banned in one country and allowed in another.

I am not from Japan, but let's look at facts rather than speculate. We know that Japan is particularly friendly towards cryptocurrencies. Regarding gambling, I think I remember reading about Japanese gambling the hell lot more often than others, but I cannot find the source.
Now to legislation. Technically, gambling (with exceptions like sports bets) is banned in Japan. However, rather recently it was allowed to make casinos as a part of the resorts the op mentioned. So if people decide to come to Japan for gambling, they'll go to posh places with all sorts of things apart from casinos.
But who needs to actually travel to a different country to gamble, when it can be done online Cheesy

Changes can really happen anytime with these countries yet government can either approved or blocked according to their own liking and jurisdiction thats why im ain surprised if they do open its doors which is actually an advantage thing for gamblers on that place and also maybe they do realize that theres no point on blocking gambling anyway.They do rather or might consider on having some sort of taxation consideration.

Macau seem to have active gambling law in the region and same in Philippines where they do have casinos at every city. I don't know if the religion in the country like Macau and Philippines has something to do with losetight law about gambling. Japan may be starting to look into gambling tourism as they recently open their country that anyone can visit.

The gambling industry is flourishing in Asia and Philippines is surely a place where their a lot of physical casino. If any country for example Japan ban gambling, then it can lose not only revenue but also it will give bad name in terms of tourism etc. Even the citizens of that country, will not be happy with the government if they ban gambling.

Every country has its fair share of kind and corrupt individuals and acting like Japan is some kind of heavenly zone is utter stupidity. Japan has its fair share of problems(Environmental disasters etc), but they managed to develop some of the best tech on the planet, but this in no way means that this will be the next big destination for iGaming operators.

It all comes down to the government in power at that point of time(Gambling supporters or haters).

For example, although porn is legal in Japan (the biggest market in terms of turnover), it is mandatory for the producers to pixelate the private parts. Gambling is also illegal as per the Criminal Code chapter 23. We really are amaze of Japan's good hospitality for tourists, and if this plans will succeed then I guess those millions of visitors will increase for sure. I like Japan even if I haven't been able to go there, but I have friends that lives there and they are saying I should go there to experience new ambiance and new people. Wow! Until now Japan never fails me to get amazed with their of living. I mean, how ironic that they are only a small country where scarcity of resources is expected but still they achieved being ine of the richest country in the whole world. For me it was a great move for them to enlarge their gambling industry in a sense that it encourages foreigners to visit their country thus resulting to much livelier tourism which leads to huge open job opportunities foe their countrymen. I can't say much about the actual life in Japan, but yes, I think they are perfect for this kind of business.
Gaming or gambling industry is no doubt a corruption haven.
So being located in Japan, investors are confident that they are dealing with principled individuals.
