The name of this man wasn't familiar to me, so I had to use the search engine as well.
I think he was the real "Wolf of Wall Street."

Quote
Jesse Lauriston Livermore was an American stock trader. He is considered a pioneer of day trading and was the basis for the main character of Reminiscences of a Stock Operator, a best-selling book by Edwin Lefèvre. At one time, he was one of the richest people in the world; however, at the time of his suicide, he had liabilities greater than his assets.

I don't know him so I did searched for his name and surprised to see when he was born and died. With the little description that I've read, he seems to be one of the OGs of day trading.

But it's sad to see how he ended his own life.

Jesse Livermore is one of the brightest stars in Wall Street speculation. He is my favorite.
The reason is simple. In the speculative market, every great speculator has his own set of trading methods and a set of research processes on how to determine where to risk a large amount of money.
His trading rules that combine the time factor and price changes allowed me to make money other than salary.
