JIO coin is not launching. Mukesh Ambani has cleared in a press conference that It is just a fake rumor that Reliance is coming in crypto-business. He said Reliance never had any plan nor planning to launch JIO coin. It is just a rumar created to pump Indian crypto market.
Jio may or may not create jio coin but it is clear that they are going to use blockchain technology. Each industry becoming fan of this new tech, india should have to allow cryptocurrency along with blockchain in order to improve the economy. At least it should allow crypto mining which can help to get foreign funds.

Its a fake news, company has already denied such rumors. Indian government and Reserve Bank of India are against the cryptocurrencies; reliance is one of the most reputed company in india and they will never go against the policies of local government.

Currently it is at the preliminary discussion where the team is being setup and they are analyzing how it can benefit and what is the scope if the coin is being bought. Once they have the outline ready they would have to go and take approval form the government or will wait government clears the air if it would be banned in India or would be under law which they will frame now. If private sector giant is entering in the cryptocurrency with their own coin then writing is on the wall that govt is not going to ban the cryptocurrency. Instead govt will try to regulate the crypto-currency in this country.

Currently they are just testing it and does not necessarily means it will come. If govt gets stricter they may just not allow any coins in India and if they want to regulate only those coins which establishes in their country than they can ban all the cypto currency and only legalize some coin which the big industrialist here create and approve by government.
