There may be haters and critics. But believe me Reliance is truely dedicated to IT revolution in India. Starting from call rates, then internet and now mobile phones.

Reliance has brought revolution in Telecom industry. But quality is not good. There are issues while calling someone. Issues like call drops, poor internet quality are haunting. Because of competitive pricing from Jio, other telecom companies are offering poor services to reduce loss. In 4G era, I am experiencing 2G speed while using internet.

Jiophone will not kill any phone's future.. However, in future the price of all the phone will decrease.

Look at Amazon Fire - a tablet for $30 /$40 .... How much more cheaper can it become ? Let the demand increase and then you see.

Anybody who bought the phone and can give a genuine review?

I see people are repeating the same features of the phone and none yet to give a decent review after using it.

I am no order is Jio phone because I do not find worth to purchase. A phone usually does not last 3 years.  If phone starts having problem after 1 year after warranty then no guarantee you will be eligible for refund.  I think better buy some Android 4G phone and then either try Jio or Airtel are eligible for Rs. 399 offer or just buy 3G phone and recharge a BSNL mobile number with Rs. 333 or 444 for 3 GB and 4 GB per day for 84 days' internet packs.

The phone supports 4G and has decent specs@1500rs and I doubt anyone will get the money back after 3 years because anything can happen in between 3years and I don't think they will refund if the phone gets damaged so its basically like buying the phone for 1.5krs which is still worth the money, of-course you cannot compare it with current league mobiles but if you think about whole India this phone is worth it and will help many people who cannot afford decent android phone, this phone is not really for the people who own a android phone its for people who don't have a android phone or a phone which supports 4G.

A phone with 512mb ram..
dont know if it can handle even playstore as well

not at all worthy

Do you think this phone have playstore , Even Jio lyf 3000 rs around jio dont have play store...
its just smart trick by ambani to reduce the price of mobile to 1500 rs to cover the all customers in India
just for those people who not know how to start android mobile ..... you know whom i am talking....

This is the trick only to save GST on mobiles by saying Mobile is free of cost just pay security deposit....
GST on mobiles is 28%
he has imported 10 Crore mobiles from China

I can say that you should try Jio phone because it's free. But you should deposit 1500 rupees security fees for 3 years. And after that you should give away the phone and get your money back.In this you should have free voice call life time.

I am not ordering Jio phone because I do not find it worth to purchase.  If we purchase it we have to take care of it for 3 years and do recharges (the terms and conditions of which are not known yet).  A phone usually does not last 3 years.  If phone starts having problem after 1 year (after warranty), then no guarantee you will be eligible for refund.  I think better buy some Android 4G phone and then either try Jio or Airtel (if you are eligible for Rs. 399 offer) or just buy 3G phone and recharge a BSNL mobile number with Rs. 333 or 444 for 3 GB and 4 GB per day for 84 days' internet packs.

In my opinion JioPhone Opinion is going to kill feature phone of India, because It's Free.

 i dont think so

Yes, you are right, it won't be a killer phone to replace the smart phone but it will be almost next to smartphone for people who do not have access to the high-end smartphones or to say that people in the middle-level income will be really happy with what JIO has to offer them. Its a win win situation for them.

Jio phone is creating a new revolution in smart phone and Internet's history. After Jio all other company will be totally failed. Other companies can cheat their customers or lie them with bills openly.. every month they increase their prices.

It's not so free. You need to pay 1500 as security deposit which will be returned after 3 years. I don't feel the phone would even last for 3 years Cheesy

It's a business tactic like you buy it for 1500 and say around 1crore people buy it and it goes into the bank and the interest is accumulated over a period of time which itself will be a good profit and then that would be given to the Chinese company where they placed the bulk order for the phones.

In 3 years till you get your refund of 1500 rs back, Reliance would have easily made more than 1500 crores.
Doesn't that handset require "some" amount of money to purchase in first place? Surely it does. Thus when 1cr person purchase handset, those 1500cr or some fraction of it must be required for paying cost of handset, before going in bank account. Last but not the least businessman like ambani and tata are much smarter and dont earn their profit from banks. You would never find a smart businessman keeping money in bank and earning interest from that. Instead they put that money in their respective business to earn more profit.

I agree with you but do believe they may not be paying the whole of 1500 crores to the smartphone company in 1 shot and it may be in few installments and again they might have got some bargain with the number of phones being to be shipped in a particular time frame. Here again, there is some profit with paying in installments.

It's Free.
It's not
apart from that
It's a great because it's highly affordable.
Let it be for profit but reliance is helping India advance forward with technology. JIO has changed things for real.

What will you do with 500MB per day on a small 2.4 inch screen phone?
It would have been a beast if it had hotspot feature. But it will definately hinders the sale of jiofi.

They will surely earn profit from this but I'm talking about the phone lasting for 3 years which I highly doubt. Samsung phones too are not long-lasting which are more expensive.

Yes, but when you see technically Jio is making huge profits from the user by just saying free.
Ambani if playing a good marketing trick.
Just got sum use database and not mobile phones.
Let's see what will he do in future.
