If there is something clear from this election is the fact people is getting fed up with the current path the democrat party is taking, and one of the components of that path is identity politics (some people call it DEI, as well) the idea of giving Kamala Harris a special treatment because she is a woman and she has a different color of skin would only show how tone-deaf the party has become on the subjects which actually the people of the USA care about: the economy, being able to save money and the way the federal government spends taxpayer money abroad.

I believe it would be completely dumb if the Democrat party allows such a thing to ensue and further throwing their credibility down the drain, more people would end up getting away from them.

Is it about good policies and governance or about producing a female president. If the only problem of America is to have a female president, then Biden should just solve it right away by resigning for Harris to take over. If not, it's just a bullshit idea.

I don't believe Biden wanted to give his spot to Harris and he doesn't want to lose the chair now. If you think he's not fit for it, maybe he shouldn't be allowed to make decisions, like that additional 400m in he promised Ukraine last month.

The source in the OP is not very credible. I don’t see any mainstream media outlets reporting it. I really can’t see why Harris would become President for such a short time prior to Trump’s inauguration. It just seems utterly pointless. The only way I could see it happening would be if Biden died or his health deteriorated badly. In all honesty, I just can’t wait for the Trump era to begin.

Who knows if the Democratic party wants to use this little time they have left to make history, or is because of Biden health issues. Is it a must that Kamala must be in the presidential office even after losing the hope we thought she had to be the first America female president. However, it's left for Biden to decide if he would allow this happen or not.

I'm not sure if that decision to make Kamala Harris the president of U.S after the resignation of Joe Biden was born out of the fact that Joe Biden promise to produce the first female president, I think it was born out of the fact that Joe Biden him self has health issues and he will be struggling to continue with the transition period, so given the fact that Harris is still vibrant and strong and much younger, she can easily fit in to help complete this transition period for the next president.

I understand that this is politics and most people would like to twist the entire situation to suit their narrative. Take for example if the president is incapacitated, won't Kamala Harris as the next person in line take over the mantle of leadership to steer the ship till Donald Trump is sworn in?

Why would you call Harris self-centred? It was clear to everybody that Joe was incompetent to recontest the elections due to his health.
