Alot of thought went into that decision, and so it demonstrates that large amounts of what happens on Joe Rogan is planned like a reality TV script; the delivery is natural, in their own words, but a little skeleton or outline for the whole podcast is devised beforehand. Mostly all Rogan guests (apart form maybe Rogan's real friends) know what the basic conversation will be in advance, that's basic public relations. You don't become Elon Musk or Tulsi Gabbard without being an excessive control freak that can simultaneously do a good job of acting normal on camera.
