I think that Mcafee is not qualified to assume a Presidency of a Country with as much history as the US. He can not be compared to Donald Trump either, because Trump's financial education is far above him, besides Donald Trump has written very good books, nothing more to hear him speak you can see how studied he is .

So I do not think that Mcafee of an electoral surprise when he has only become famous for the creation of an Antivirus that is not good, and because he makes predictions in cryptocurrencies that normally fail them a lot, that has stuck some because it is inevitable things that happen in the market, that's why I do not think it is successful.

He is running for the US Presidency in 2020 and it is not yet clear what implications the charges may have on his campaigns. He is an avid supporter of Cryptocurrencies and the significance of his advocacy is that he has a high social standing in the tech circles as the founder of one of the world’s leading Anti-Virus and Internet Security, McAfee.

He will be running on the Libertarian ticket and is already drawing a lot of attention as some people are wondering whether he is for real or not.

Although it is difficult to ignore the drama that would unfold between John McAfee and his supporters on one hand and the IRS team on the other, one can only wait and see how the events would unfold.

Interestingly, the campaign is already receiving a lot of attention because of the peculiar strategies. However, it is hard to predict the impact on the ballot at this stage.

Meanwhile, if he becomes the 46th US President, Cryptocurrencies may become a de facto tender in the US.

I think that libertarian views make a lot of sense, but it's unrealistic that their representative could win the elections. Our world is a dangerous place. There are lots of far-right activists, very unstable Middle East situation and a lot of tension between the West and Russia and China. What people need now are strong leaders with liberal views that will seek for dialogue and try to resolve matters peacefully, but won't be afraid to be tough. This guy is nice, but he could damage the world's economy by making hasty decisions like cancelling taxes in the US. The mere fact of him being a candidate and crypto enthusiast, though, can give positive hype for the market.

I actually like this man John McAfee though we have to admit it that he has no big chance of winning it into the White House as he is not belonging to the two biggest political parties. Well, I am sure he can be bringing in more fun, excitement and a choice this 2020 but I am betting my invisible millions of Bitcoin that he will not win. However, this is actually a big vehicle for him to make Bitcoin and the whole cryptocurrency market more popular and into the mainstream. So people in cryptocurrency should be supporting the man even just for cheering him from afar. Go go go John MacAfee !!

It's all in money and the way you use it, and McAfee have a lot of money and he know how to use it to buy the affection of people. His prediction is just joke without any real foothold, but we see that people just want such speculations even they do not have the slightest chance to come to fruition.

It's hard for me to believe that McAfee has any chance of becoming president of USA, and I think he know that. All this fuss about IRS and running for the US Presidency is just the way in which he wants to stay on the surface.

Before 2008 his net worth was around 100$ million, today only between 4-6$ million. I think it's proof that his career goes down, no way he will get rich again - maybe only if BTC hit that 500 000$ mark next year as he predicts.

Mac Affee did it good in the past, but not anymore.. I dont feel any sympathy for him after seen how he has acted in the past. He will shill anything for money, dont matter if it is about a shitcoin, that will pump in price and then leave thousands of bagholders investors that bited the bait. I see him just like a mercenary. Dont find him trustable in anyway.. so dont see how he will succeed as president of anything!

Based on his reputation such as promoting "unhackable" hardware wallet & launching joke ICO, i doubt John McAfee would be a good president even if he favor cryptocurrency.

If US Presidency is in 2021, we can see one more proof whether he suitable as US president if Bitcoin price doesn't reach $1.000.000 and he fulfill his bet (eat his own dick)

I somewhat agree with your statement. He is one of the strongest voice of cryptocurrency world but that certainly doesn't mean that he will be a good president. He is very freckle minded and impulsive in taking decisions, a lot of his tweets prove that fact! But considering that a person like Mr. Donald Trump is the current president of US, anything can happen!

I don't think Mr. McAfee is one of the strongest voice of cryptocurrency. He only made an impact before but in few months only. People used to believed to him being a founder of a software company and a businessman. But later on people realized he is only about hyping.

Is USA worried now? It seems like to me John McAfee will be facing Kanye West in taking over the United States as Presidency. I know that these candidates are a joke on being the top position of the US government but it seems like there are no promising candidates announcing that they will face Trump in the upcoming election, it just worries me as even though I'm not part of their country I know their regulations and markets will affect all of us so I still want to see a better person sitting in the top of the country not some old blonde dude wanting to waste their funds over a wall.

The fact that John McAfee become such a popular person in crypto community tells you a lot about the latter. Seems like people are ready to trust any celebrity if they promise them moon - they don't care about facts, logic, reasoning, they just want their hopes to be validated. McAfee may not be as influential as he was in 2016-2017, and crypto community might be a bit more skeptical now, but maybe this is just an effect of the bear market, and people will lose their minds again in the next run, especially if we'll have an influx of newcomers.

I watched the video and John McAfee has already fired his first salvo by saying that we are at war with the government, specially about him not paying his taxes. But I don't know if this is a good Presidential pitch though, LOL. Interesting to note that this is not the first time he shows intention, in 2016 he lost his first bid as candidate for Libertarian Party.

OP, are you the owner of the site?

You keep reposting an article from that sources and make it into a new thread, literally copy-pasting. It's best if you make it clear from the beginning because I bet someone will report your post sooner or later and you'll get banned.

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is charging John McAfee with felony charges. However, he is on the run and it is not yet clear how the case will unfold in the coming days, weeks, or months.

The Announcement Was Made Last Year

Although the 73-year-old tech enthusiast announced that he would be on the precedential ballot for 2020 in June last year but remained silent for much of the time, he recently announced in a tweet that “exile” won’t stand between him and his campaign. This shows the world that himself and his supporters are more energized than ever and will be hitting the campaign trail with confidence.

He will be running on the Libertarian ticket and is already drawing a lot of attention as some people are wondering whether he is for real or not. However, given the recent history where President Donald Trump was dismissed as a joker with zero chances of winning against Hillary Clinton, many people would find themselves taking him seriously learning from the precedence of the big election night surprise from Trump.

His Campaigns Will Be Tactful

In a Twitter video, John McAfee revealed to concerned fans and non-supporters about his campaign tact. He is planning to have his support team create thousands of masks of his face to wear and represent him in his exile. The team will be split into “road warriors” who would visit public spaces to drum up support on his behalf and another group that will be attending conferences and lectures to argue and present his policies. This would, in turn, prevent the IRS team from catching him in campaign gatherings. From the video, John promises his fans of more plans to come in the future.

Formidable Opponents

The campaign would, however, be an uphill task for McAfee given the growing popularity of President Donald Trump’s policies and a majority populace support for the Democratic party. Other candida such as Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris, and others have come out and announced their candidature while many more are predicted to join the race.

Impact Of John McAfee Candidature On Cryptocurrency Markets

Even though no one knows for sure whether John McAfee would win or lose, he could use the campaign platform to drum up support for Cryptocurrencies to a larger audience. For instance, he predicted that BTC would surge to $500,000 by 2020, many Americans would, most likely, come across this forecast.

Meanwhile, if he becomes the 46th US President, Cryptocurrencies may become a de facto tender in the US.
