All I know is that I know nothing.
Em... we call him "Antivirus" in our telegram group. The trust on him bit low after he twitter hacked.

was his account really hacked or did the altcoin pump go wrong?

i mean seriously someone who is more like a pump group is not even worth talking about! all he is interested in is cold hard cash. he may be talking about bitcoin the way we like but in the end he is in it to make money.

Do you think that John McAfee can be the right man for cryptocurrency?
Well yes he can, he's been defending bitcoin lately when Jamie Dimon keeps on talking about bitcoin is a fraud and I like what he said about those times.

Should we adopt him as our official defender and spokesperson?
Take him seriously, he's doing it likely to be one.

You did fell in love with him already tom?  Grin

STOP SNITCHIN'
I may not like the man when I first heard about him talking about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency but certainly he has grown lovable in my eyes as months go by.

Mancrush, indeed. Cheesy

He has become like the the unofficial spokesperson for the world of cryptocurrency...speaking his own ideas, opinions and predictions of what can be months/years from now with Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. Of course, some of his projections can be outlandish to say the least but it is always nice to have him in here. The world already know his 1-Million-Bitcoin-in-2020 and otherwise he would do the unthinkable which nobody would be interested to see (haha!).

Lately, he has been the focus in the limelight for the many because his endorsements for some coins that resulted into pumps and profits for the many who actively followed what he is going to say.

I especially liked the part where his Twitter got hacked and used to pump various coins. How seriously can you take the guy? He started doing a "coin-of-the-day" pump and started with Electroneum. Seriously?! I saw screenshots of DMs where he was offering to pump coins for payouts. Not sure if they were doctored.

Do you think that John McAfee can be the right man for cryptocurrency? Should we adopt him as our official defender and spokesperson?

No thanks. The guy is a clown. He's also in bed with Jihan Wu.

Ewww hell no! He has been doing pump and dump with his "coin of the day" program. Well, dumping on his followers to be exact. The only person making profit from such PnD is himself, buying at low, announcing on Twitter, then dump on his followers. I don't know why people are still following him, such a joke. I don't think he has much knowledge about cryptocurrency either.

I think in part a lot of people have misunderstood him, his comments and the direction it is having in the cryptocurrency world.
The wise will know and learn that any bear on the market can be turned and used as a leverage to achieve our goals.

John McAfee is crazy but I think he knows a lot about crypto curreencies and he has a lot of Twitter followers who follow his predictions. So he can help bring in more investments into the crypto sphere. May he be a spokesperson or not, I am grateful that he advertises to invest in crptos (e.g. Verge and Monero) which will help pump the prices long term.  Grin

It sure mate when John McAfee tweet about cryptocurrency then the altcoin that they said will pump up so high hahaha Most of people in bitcoin world truely believe in this person  I dont know why Smiley
All I can say John Mcafee was a high impluencer in crypto world.

I only know the McAffee Antivirus so I am surprised to see some posts about him in the crypto world. I have a friend who really trusted his Twitter Analysis lately and now crying because he lost a lot when he invested at ATH. Thank God I am not really active in Twitter and follow those who says this coin will rise and etc.

I do love that my views and John McAfee's align, but why do we need a spokesperson? There's only really one person fit for that role, and that's Satoshi. Maybe not even then. That's how decentralization works. A spokesperson wouldn't even be able to speak for the community because everyone is free to do whatever the hell they want with no official guidelines.

I also shouldn't have to say this, but McAfee has a hell of a lot to gain if crypto rises. His goals align with ours for the most part, but that could change in a hurry. That's the thing about hidden agendas, though his isn't that well hidden.

McAfee is too crazy to be spokesperson of anything Cheesy

He's much more a zany, than spokesperson.
Also, he will be dick-less in very short time, if he's a man of his word.

There is trouble abrewing
from what i have see out of John McAfee and the way he is tweeting and advertising everything, i can say he is mostly someone who has seen the potential of making a ton of money using cryptocurrencies.

he is saying some pretty words about the technology and the revolution and bitcoin and he may even believe some of it himself, but his actions such as pumping random altcoins tell a different story about him being interested more in market manipulation and making money.

Anyone who says they'll "eat their own dick if the Bitcoin price doesn't reach [insert ridiculous amount here] by 2020" is not a spokesperson we should be proud to have.

This guy makes us look like fools. He doesn't legitimize Bitcoin, he makes it a joke. He makes the people that are considering getting into Bitcoin for the first time more leery to do so because his comments are so outrageous.

Someone who supports Bitcoin Cash as the "true Bitcoin" should never by a spokesperson for cryptocurrencies. He is pro-miner and anti-community. If he had the cleanest of intentions then he would have started campaigning for Segwit already.

The fees are already becoming unbearable for the ordinary users. Did he show that he cares about us? No.

Plus his pumping and hyping on Twitter shows what kind of a person he really is. He is out there to make money and to manipulate, nothing else.

John McAfee can only express his own thoughts and assumptions. He did not yet show himself well as a specialist in cryptography. He has provided and is supporting some ICO, and therefore the coins they produce are becoming very popular. So, one coin supported by him grew in value by 60 percent, the other by 40 percent. Now the campaign Bobsrepain in carrying out ICO everywhere says that its Bob-tokens are released for the support of John McAfee. I do not know this correctly, or not. Some say that he simply takes money for his protection.

Need some spare btc for a new PC
I've gonna be honest, when he proposed to cut his manhood off for his predictions considering the bitcoin price, I thought he was a mad man.. but then my friend told me about his twitter posts and alt-coin predictions, since then.. well I can say that I've changed my mind completely. I do think he's the right man and the one to lead the crypto into the mainstream.

It seems like you're trying to centralize something that's supposed to be purely decentralized. I don't think any one person has to be the face of cryptocurrency. You, the user/investor, gets to choose who you want to look up to in the crypto space. If what he's saying is stuff that you agree with and see in the future, then go ahead and believe him. I just don't think there needs to be a singular person as the face of a currency that's built on the fact that it isn't rooted in a single place.
