It is nice that big firms started to enjoy and embrace the idea of distributed ledgers or blockchains. They may make even better altcoins over time which is surpassing ethereum or litecoin. Noone can guess future.

According to the Financial Times News, a spokesperson for JPMorgan Chase commented on Quorum, a self-developed open-source distribution ledger project: “We believe that distributed ledger technology will play a transformative role in the financial services industry. This is why we are actively developing various blockchains. The reason for the solution. We are excited about Quorum's potential and it will grow into a very good corporate platform.”
