Depending on your power costs, I'd be tempted to get a better PSU even for light mining.
And really, seriously, go second hand and pick up some higher hashrate cards. Right now you could buy a Ztex FPGA for that price and get the same hashrate for 9W of power

With a 530W PSU I wouldn't hesitate about running 3 of them. 4 might be getting dicey, but should definitely work with 3.

Yes. I run 2 5750 with a 500W Psu from months 24/7.
But if I were you, I would spend a little more for a 750W psu which would allow you to run 3 or maybe even 4 58XX cards.
Case and HD are superfluous for a miner.

I'm a bit concerned about the single graphics card on that system if this is a dedicated miner. Seems like you wouldn't be very profitable since half or more of your power is going to your CPU/RAM/mobo/LEDs/fan.
Not bad for a start! Personally I would scrap the hdd and download BAMT on a USB thumb drive. It's a preconfigured Linux OS all set for mining. Good luck!
PS: you may want to think about a motherboard with more PCI-e slots. If you wanted to get another card, you'd need an adapter cable. You'd max out at two.

That's a good point. Since the motherboard has a usb drive I can just use that as the memory. Would I need some sort of casing though for the hardware?
You don't need anything special for this config. Once you start building your fourth and fifth rig (and it will happen), you'll start making trips to Lowes looking for 1/4" pine boards. Then, you might even start sending thousands of dollars to some company and waiting for "singles"!
If it's going to be a dedicated rig, grab an old P4 system and mine away. HP DC7100 or DC7600 work beautifully with BAMT as well.
Omit the hard drive, yes. Build your own case, it's easy and you'll have better temps.
If this is your budget, that MH per $ is decent, but you'd get a much better ratio if you buy a more expensive rig. (~1800-2000 MH/s for a rig around $1k)
