Topic: Judge was exonerated. Why are people picking on him? (Read 499 times)

Such people are very hard. Although if we take a country with a democratic arrangement, then the circumstances of the life of the former judge can be ambiguous. But if you take a totalitarian country, then the judges there are the most influential and rich people.

He has resigned, so even if did kill that person, and take sexual favors and cash to throw cases, he will not be able to put any more shoplifters in jail. He will be looking for a new job that does not come with an unlimited get out of jail free card.

Exactly, especially if new evidence can be brought forth that changes the decision making that arrived at the original exonerated charges OR initiate suspicion of wrong doing for new charges.

If you are exonerated of charges brought against you, that doesn't mean you are innocent, He may have bribed to get all the charges against him to be dropped.

Though I dont want to place my judgement on the Judge but given the fact that his reputation is tainted the courts must do something or to somehow create some venue for him to work but no longer as a practicing judge. If that kind f judge will continue to work then the trust of people towards the decision of the court will somehow be tarnished. It is a big issue and the government must do something to investigate on those claims.

The article at the bottom came out yesterday and more allegations seem to have come out today.

But are they true? The judge has previously been exonerated and vindicated.

Is this yet another case of egregious prosecutorial overreach?

Friends of Leigh Terry have questions about death investigation

Metro Police closed the investigation into the death of 34-year-old Leigh Terry, declaring it a suicide.
Terry, according to police, ended her life with a gunshot wound to the head in the early hours of May 5, 2016, in her downtown Nashville apartment.



"She threatened him. ‘The gig's over, you're done,’ and she threatened him. And she's like, ‘The gig's up,’ and she said, ‘I'm not talking about your wife,’" Amos told Channel 4.
During her recorded interview with police, Amos at first didn't want to reveal who was on the trip. The detective pressed her, saying, “I need to know who we're talking about." Amos answered, "Casey Moreland."

During the investigation into Terry's death, allegations were made by Amos and two of Terry's former boyfriends whose interviews are in the police file.
All three said Terry claimed she had had sex with Moreland in exchange for a lighter sentence on a DUI case.

The U.S. Attorney’s office made stunning allegations during a news conference Tuesday regarding Davidson County General Sessions Judge Casey Moreland.

CS-1 admitted to participating with Moreland in a scheme to have Person 1 sign an affidavit recanting statements she had made to Channel 4 that she and Moreland had sex in his office. The affidavit would also say the she had been paid $2,500 by a third party to do an interview with Channel 4, and that explicit  text messages between she and Moreland had been spoofed.

The complaint says on March 1, Moreland told CS-1 he was interested in a situation in which drugs could be planted on Person 1 and then she would be pulled over in a traffic stop where the drugs would be found. Moreland asked CS-1 if he knew anyone who might be willing to assist them.
CS-1 said he thought he knew someone who would do it.
