How does your holding become less and less? Just a few days back almost all altcoins including Bitcoin was in a bull trend. Wasn't your fund recovered? If you are a long holder then shouldn't be worried since you haven't sold holding during a bull. But if you are a trader then should sell at a targeted price. However, the overall market seems in bear mode. Bitcoin movement is unpredictable always, so the overall market depends on the Bitcoin move. I am expecting more dump to be honest due to various reasons. And there is the smell of bear that I am realizing from the Bitcoin movement.
Altcoins, which I invested in, went down a lot. My friend shares your view that a bear market is ready. So I'm a little worried that the coins I invest will fall even more.

I think there will be no bear market in a short time, because I feel that the encryption process is becoming more and more uncontrollable, and more and more people are starting to join the encryption world.
There is a lot of news these days, and the more news, the higher the attention will be. I think encryption will usher in a new round of bull market.

why are you so worried about this. take it easy guys everything will be fine as long as you are on the right track.
but it also depends on how you invest, if indeed you invest in coins that do get a good response like for example in btc or for altcoins like eth, bnb and coins that are in the top rank of CMC (except doge) I think you don't worry too much about the bear market.
In fact, in my opinion, when a bear market occurs and the process is going bullish, it is the momentum that we must pay attention to and get ready to add assets to increase your portfolio.
all you have to do is calm down and don't get carried away with fud and don't panic. keep your hands strong to hold it so you don't regret it another day.

Since May, market prices have fluctuated and fallen, and my account assets have become less and less. I'm really worried that it's a sign of a bear market. I am still a novice investor. How do you judge the bear market? Thank you for your advice.

Kindly maintain patient and hold if you are for the long period, though its still depend on your portfolio because despite the market sell off, some altcoins are still doing better.
That's one of the disadvantages of coming to bull market at late stage, you have to wait for another distribution phase to occur before we are going to see another bull run.

Since may the price of most altcoins were increasing so you must be holding the wrong coins or you are talking about the recent dump which shocked the market after the China ban like news.

There is no accurate way to find the start of bear or bull market, if you are going to be a long term holder then you no need to worry about the red because sooner it will turn from that you can make a lot more but we don't know actually what are the coins present in your portfolio, if its full of shitcoin then its an alarm to sell them and buy bitcoin or similar reputed cryptos for holding.

I didn't proclaim myself as a trader, but when the bearish come you better to learn about dollar-cost averaging (https://dcabtc.com/), it's a good method in that specific market condition.

Anyway, as you stated, if you are a novice trader, I only have a few suggestions, dump out all the shitcoins/memes on your portfolios, we can't even know how it would survive. What I mean is try to put some money on a project that has the most solid fundamentals like Bitcoin. The saying "Invest the money you can afford to lose" is a prerequisite if you are a novice and I hope you already heard it and practice it before. Another thing is you shouldn't blatantly trust your friend, you should make judgements based on your own research and strategy. Find the most suitable strategy that you can learn without relying upon others to make an act.

What do you mean fallen? the market seems to be very strong, not sure what coins you did invest, but you need to be calm at this point. Personally, I say that we are not yet in the bear market, if we are are, bitcoin should be in the $20k-$30k and Ethereum not in the 4 digits. But if you look at it, bitcoin is above $40k, and Ethereum above $2k. So don't you worry, it's just part of the market and see the price going on a dip, the price would not go on parabolic rise. I would say wait till the end of the year and see how your investment goes.

Before invest in the crypto market, you should know that loss can be suffered in the crypto market and profit is also can be gain on your investment, bear market depends on crypto news and demands of altcoins, if any bad news then you will see the crypto market will go to bear, you should watch and read crypto news to judgment crypto market.
broadly what you mentioned can already be an assessment for a bear market. especially to see indications of a bear market.
but that's not necessarily the case in the market. because it all depends on the market's response to the news.
I do not see a bear market or bull market. if the market goes down in 3 stages for me it is already dangerous for my investment. even if the improvement occurs but if the market quickly corrects again, you have to start deciding whether to stay with the investment or have to get out.
If you want to stay with the investment, then you must be prepared to hold assets in the long term.

I share your point of view that crypto market is very volatile and it depends on news a lot. For example, when China  announces new regulations against Bitcoin and crypto, we see a new fall. We had better read news and analyse Bitcoin's chart to see if there is a bear or bullish mood in the market according to indicators.

The main indicator of crypto market is certainly Bitcoin. When it is falling, all altcoins follow its trends, and usually they fall even more. When I see that people start panic, especially on this forum, and Bitcoin is decreasing by 10%, it is a real sign for me that it might be a bear market, especially if there is bad news or just the market is overheated.

First of all, i'm pretty much sure that bear market won't long last like previous one as we have more institutional investors and derivative exchanges. So if bear market keeps that long timeframe, than those institutional investors won't miss the chance to make money. So bear market will happen, but for shorter timeframe. Now, if you're having  altcoins in your portfolio, than pick the potential one to do DCA and rest of those use for trading if you have proper Knowledge for it, IMHO.

Thats normal especially when you acquired your crypto holdings during the ATH, But it's true if we base on the fluctuation of crypto prices I believe Bitcoin was very affected I guess because from around $60K in the previous months now it was trading around $42K and not only BTC just look also at Ethereum from $4K, now trading at $2.6K and the whole crypto prices were declining, that's why I was convinced that the Bear market trend is already here. just my opinion!

As you are a newbie and I can understand your situation. In recent times the majority of the coins dropped in value as the market is not stable. In my opinion, the market is not bear and running sideways at the moment. If you have good coins in your portfolio you must not be worried about it keep holding it patiently it will rise back when the market will start recovering. Always away from the pessimistic people.

Now the market conditions are not in a bear condition, although there are still corrections in some Altcoins and Bitcoins so that the decline is still visible in the market, but you don't need to worry about this because everything will be fine and when the value of your assets has recovered to its bottom, then you just pull it so your heart can be very calm.

There's no exact way to judge the market but considering the trend of bitcoin price fluctuations, we can expect a rise to another all time high. But that can be quick or take upto 4 years. And seeing the price decrease trend, on a favorable estimate, we can expect the price to lose upto 33% of the recent all time high. That mean the lowest bitcoin can go is 30K with a great resistance around that price. Bitcoin has already tasted that resistance level and the next price trend could be a more positive one.

have you bought your assets at the peak price? i were having the opposite thing as all of my tokens were going up so hard.

This can be judged based on the bitcoin trend but it's not always work coz sometime a good coin will not care about what kind of trend that was happening on the bitcoin. If you're making wrong entry and you will be loosing your money but as long as you have not yet sold your tokens and you're not lose because it can go back anytime. You must learn a lot before try to invest in crypto as you said that you're novice investor. You may have lack of knowledge. Investing in meme coin was the worst thing that i have ever seen

You are worrying?

I guess it's because of what your portfolio consists of. Can you tell what are the cryptos that you're owning currently with your portfolio?

Well, the market has dipped too much and if it's mostly in alts that are not at the top, you'll dwell in total losses and if you don't have btc on it.
ETH,DOT,LINK,KAR,and some memes
Add bitcoin.

It will make your portfolio balance and gets a better favor with the market as we know that bitcoin's dominance is always at the top.

If you have a big part for Ethereum, just keep on holding and you might want to add for you to get some more to hold while the market is down.

Your worried? you shouldn't be worried mate, you know why? because no one can predict what could be the market price due to its
volatility and very unpredictable. And it is true I think in my own perceptions that here we are again in bull market. Where most of the traders surely got their losses in the crypto trading. Just make you basis, be always look here in the forum and the comments of the other members as well.
Today, a friend said that the bear market will last one to two years. I don't know how I will spend such a long bear market. I'm very worried. How did you feel about the last bear market?
