These rankings are not a guarantee for a successful project. We have seen coins that is almost as fast as like the lightning network, yet no active traders and some are just dead now. Even some offer zero withdraw option, still, people don't trust them.
Right, but the success of a project is also not seen in terms of the price of the coins alone, from other aspects also must be seen, such as the development of the project platform and the product of the project, and that will certainly bring the project to the top rank if everything goes well.

Let me ask you a question, don’t you have the same attributes as your president have, but what would make people choose the president over you, because they will still believe that the president will have what you don’t have and can give what you cannot give.

This is the same way in the crypto world, we all know that bitcoin is the president of all coins here, and there is no way that even those coins will have the chance to get more recognized than bitcoin even if they have the same functions as bitcoin.  Bitcoin still looks special to people being the first of cryptocurrency and so long that it is still serving the world well, people will only see those other coins as an alternative to bitcoin.

Hi cryptopians i want to ask you a question and i need your genuine answers straight from your hearts.

What would have happened if all available crypto coins are been ranked on CoinMarketCap based on how good they are in terms of
1. Faster transaction speed
2. Better Security Platform
3. Privacy
4. Futuristically techy  etc

Will bitcoin have a chance at all? what rank number do you think bitcoin will be on CoinMarketCap?

bitcoin didn't have all your points above mate, and in my opinion a lot of altcoins have it
but, i believe if bitcoin will always be number one at coinmarketcap

I believe it too because bitcoin is a leader in the cryptocurrency, and no matter how good the altcoin, they cannot compare with bitcoin. The altcoin will stay behind of bitcoin because altcoin doesn't have a chance to beat bitcoin. But we don't know what will happen in the future as the technology still grow and develop to better technology. Maybe in the future, there will be a new technology that can bring a new concept about cryptocurrency and the answer is still a mystery to us.

I think Bitcoin is not a good one. Because its transaction speed has an average of 30 minutes.
Also, the fee is quite high compared to the other coins like ETH or XLM.
But why it still stands on top 1 coinmarketcap is because Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency ever made. And all altcoins pair is based on it.

There are a lot of coins that look better than Bitcoin and they are not even in the top 50, but we are not looking for a clone coin with a lot of modification that is being run or premine by greedy investors, we want a coin that is supported by the whole community, and coinmarketcap job is to show the market capitalization of each Cryptocurrency.

Talking about use case, bitcoin stands out as a utility coin, going to coinmarketcap it's volume out weighs other coins, talking about acceptance, it has a wider reach, we could go on and on, why bitcoin would still take the lead, no matter our other altcoin gets successful.
bitcoin is the crypto that is most accepted by everyone. beginners will look for bitcoin, traders will look for bitcoin and miners will look for bitcoin. that's what makes accepting bitcoin unbeatable.

of the 4 criteria you mean of course bitcoin will never reach first place again because there are many altcoins that can
1. Faster transaction speed
2. Better Security Platform
3. Privacy
4. Futuristically techy etc.
however, these are not from the reference CMC calculates its rank because in CMC it only calculates Market Capitalization.

Currently there are many altcoins that have more features than bitcoin. Faster transactions and better anonymity, but in every market, liquidity is counted as the main benchmark.

Risko, you would really better try etherium as S17 is developed for such purposes. As for globemining I have a friend from mining community he strongly advised me globemining com as a great reseller and promoted their shop to me. So I am kind of surprised to find globeminig here as a topic
I will try! Thank you! What miners do you have? How is your experience? And what about you friend?
I have a bunch of S17 and my friend has so many rigs that I can not even count them  Cheesy
My experience was pleasant. I do not regret spending much money on globemining to receive great quality of products.

If this is the case I will not use Coinmarketcap anymore I'm using Coinmarketcap to check what coins worth buying and what coins are getting the best price and its volume in the market, and it will not call a market cap anymore since it's not showing the true picture of what the market is.

What about globemining com? Do they have a full support? As I have ordered recently and you own their equipment for a while maybe you could tell me how do they work after purchase

Their support is great, if you have a problem give a call to the office, they will surely help you. I had a problem with cables, they helped me to deal with that. So globemining wont regret you  Roll Eyes
Oh, I see. Hope there won't be any problems at all nor with equipment nor with globemining support Cry  As I invested much)

good night! As you may have mentioned crypto is so volatile these days, how do you keep earning despite all these fluctuations?
You may try altcoin mining for instance. Do you have a budget? I can share my experience in this field, not so bad at all. Are you interested?
what alts do you mine? I have tried bitcoin mining, results were awful Embarrassed Maybe I need another strategy, as I have invested much money in asic rigs but no result still. I have started a month ago
What equipment you use? Could you name? And as for the currency, if I were you, I would try Etherium. Not bitcoin.

I have 2 S17 miners, ETH? Maybe, however it's easier said than done. These two miners cost me a grand total of 4K usd on globemining com. I think I have invested much

Yeah.. surely interested. Is it a real passive income as all people say? Or volatility takes place?
For example I took several T17 models from globemining com as well. And now earning each month some extra money to spend. So basically, you are not volatile in your earnings.
Most important is your equipment as always. As I see you have S17, that is great, really.

I think bitcoin will still be the top 1 coin because it's the most trusted cryptocurrency by the people, investors etc. We can see that no coins can even reach half of bitcoins total coinmarketcap, that just means bitcoin will be sitting on top rank no matter how many coins compete with it.

Every project offers solutions and they want to stay in the competition so they will gain investors.

Actually, all that you listed are good, but in the end, it's still depends on the investors perception, because if you look at bitcoin, it does not offer the best privacy, and it's not fast either, of course there are still altcoins that are faster and actually cheaper in terms of transaction cost, but people still choose BTC to remain in the number 1 spot, and in fact it has dominated the market already.

if sites started ranking coins based on real factors then the distance between bitcoin and the rest of the altcoins would have been even bigger than this.

for example take confirmation time (which you falsely referred to as transaction speed). bitcoin is going to be on top at first with a huge gap between it and the next coin. why? because confirmation time is a 2 part factor: time + security. bitcoin has that, those coins with faster blocks don't.

but of course these sites will never change their ranking system because everyone wants shitcoins to remain on top so that they could get better pumps and give them a bigger profit in short term.

What would have happened if all available crypto coins are been ranked on CoinMarketCap based on how good they are in terms of

Will bitcoin have a chance at all? what rank number do you think bitcoin will be on CoinMarketCap?

Everything you mentioned also exists in Bitcoin. In my opinion, the top position of CoinMarketCap is still Bitcoin and will not affect investors. Because investors will move based on a good level of security.

In my opinion, ranking based on market cap value is already a good ranking. This is to show investors that the top coins are coins with the largest liquidity or coins with large transactions. Ranking according to the speed of the transaction in my opinion is not relevant because everyone has their own opinions

Or even if some altcoins beat bitcoin in terms of those features mentioned, the question is how far is the scope of adoption of these altcoins? In terms of usage, how many are actually actively using those altcoins with good features but can't go mainstream because of lack of community support. That might be a good idea but CMC is not for that kind ranking. Another site can do that kind of work and let us see if that will be of use to crypto users.

Then investors and traders will stop patronizing or using Coinmarketcap because investors are not using those parameters to invest, they are more interested in adoption, value, and support they are not interested in a coin with all those good features but lack the support and trust by the community.

And besides Coinmarketcap is not here to rank features but volumes and price, you would have to look for a site that can do that.

Wow ... that's a complete criterion. I feel that such an assessment is too objective, everyone's judgment must be different, so it cannot be used as a benchmark for quantitative values. Whereas Coinmarketcap provides an assessment based on market capitalization, the numbers are clear so that it is more effective in the ranking.
I think a high market capitalization is enough to prove that the coins are of high quality because of high demand and supply turns and many investors put their funds there. Although many new coins are more futuristic, in fact, bitcoin remains the main choice.

Bitcoin will lose its top position accroding to these list because bitcoin was created as an evolution so improvements would be necessary which is what some alts are proposing, but Bitcoin does offer 2 things which still makes it the most relevant cryptocurrency till date
1. It is completely decentralized
2. It is more scalable

Bitcoin will not be on top of course.
It would be like shilling website not a cap ranking. But it would be fund to have that kind of feature in coinmarketcap, I wonder how many will buy the top coins they list for  Futuristically techy because it all just need a great marketing person to hype up a coin which ever tech it may have.

If the CoinMarketCap ranking is to start ranking based on speed or cost of transactions, I think bitcoin wouldnt have a chance at all, I am not even sure that we might be seeing bitcoin in the top 50 list at all, I have used some pretty fast Altcoins and there are so many of them out there, bitcoin would beat some of them ofcourse but not too many.

All of that is already in bitcoin. Bitcoin will rank first. blockchain technology is very safe to use. no one has hacked him yet. Some hack cases occur to exchange sites. however, bitcoin transaction speeds are taking so long. This makes some investors or traders choose other coins as a substitute for bitcoin for transactions.

If all the features listed are used as criteria for ranking cryptocutrencies on coinmarketcap, Bitcoin will probably not be in the Top 20 under any of does criteria, but in reality none of those are used for the ranking.

Bitcoin would have been one of the bottom coin if it were to ranked this way. But these things are just specifications and has nothing to do with the actual worthiness.
Comparing bitcoin with other coins would be like comparing gold with paper. Paper are light, easy to carry, can be used for multiple purpose but they'll never ever come close to what gold is.

Bitcoin will remain a monument for many years to come.
No matter how good the value of technology of good alts has a positive impact on society, Bitcoin will still hold the leading position.
because Bitcoin carries a great brand that is "Reducing Play"
This makes many long-term investors excited and wants to invest heavily in Bitcoin. that is why it is never underestimated.

The current battle here is the Fomo from the community. We can see there are many businesses with great technology background but still be underestimated such as Credits, LOOM network, Kyber Network, ...
The underestimation of technology businesses is because of the speculative ideology of traders now. they don't really support businesses, they just want money and are willing to manipulate everything.
perhaps the market needs thoughtful new investors to change the whole market.

Bitcoin will still have a chance to get the top position at CMC no matter if any crypto coins have all of the lists you mention. Perhaps, they can be the top position among the altcoin but to beat or compete with bitcoin, I am not sure because bitcoin is already in the top position in the cryptocurrency market. The altcoin itself is difficult to compete with the price of bitcoin and popularity because people still know that in the cryptocurrency, bitcoin is the only one and they don't think that the altcoin can replace the position.

Bitcoin will still be the number one coin on coinmarketcap,Bitcoin is an utility coin while most of altcoins are just security tokens. Bitcoin can be utilized as a ware to store our funds and payment system and dont dont forget that CMC ranked coins based on volume so altcoins arent getting any chances sooner, its possible but not this soon

Bitcoin will definitely lose its number one spot. In all of the 4 rankings you have there. But then these 4 are not everything. These are brilliant bases in choosing an altcoin but it seems Bitcoin is exempted. For quite some time already Bitcoin is not the leading coin in terms of TPS, privacy, and development but then it has never occurred, and most probably never will, that Bitcoin will lose its spot in terms of market value. At the end of the day, the determining factor is demand. And Bitcoin is never losing it. Everybody is dreaming to have as many BTC as possible.

You've got a really brilliant question right there. But calling us cryptopians is a bit eerie. LOL. And coinmarketcap will have to change its name if they will rank the coins according to your bases.

Coinmarketcap and similar sites will not do that, they only measure the volume and the price, if they rank coins according to your specification, then they are not a market capitalization site anymore, and investors are not buying based on those specifications, there are coins with better security like Monero and fast and no transaction fee like Nano and Banano, but they are nothing compared to Bitcoin's dominance.

Answering these questions needs deep research and study about altcoins and I confess I have not the knowledge. If the study is done by a trustworthy, knowledgeable and expert group of people, I expect the answer of all four answers to be a cryptocurrency other than bitcoin. But we will likely have four different answers for these four questions. Even if the answers are revealed and they are right and the community trust the healthy of study, I think bitcoin will remain number one based on market capitalization. I mean people won't sell their bitcoins for other coins even if it is proved that they are better than bitcoin in some aspects and Bitcoin will remain the most trusted cryptocurrency.

Well in my opinion, even if that organization of the coins were made in the website, it does not matter because the dominance of the market still belongs to Bitcoin. The interest of the market still rest on that coin. But in the annals of financial history Bitcoin and the altcoins are in its infancy. So many things will still happen in the years to come.

Bitcoin will and why are you feeling doubt about that. It will always still placed in the first rank of CMC no matter how much features that already made by the majority of altcoins but they are all still don't have real usage and compared with bitcoin and they are nothing right now dude.
Bitcoin is a utility coin while the majority of altcoins are security token. Bitcoin can be used as a commodity to store our value, payment system.

Coinmarketcap ranks coins and tokens based on market capitalization only. You will need another service/website that will rank them according to the category you presented. That website would need to be impartial to be credible and I don't know if some group would be willing to spend time gathering all those information.

Those information are actually not relevant to an average investor who is only interested in the returns made from investment. I remember when deflationary tokens was trending, it was obvious that it won't stand the test of time because the project lacks basis and use case, but people were still willing to invest, because of the returns which were forthcoming.

His highlights are actually meant for long term coins and it does not necessarily mean that having such quality will make them surpass bitcoin.
As far as crypto is concerned bitcoin is still a father to all and it cannot be easily surpassed.

Of course, many coins surpass bitcoin even on the first point. But these items are not an important classification for choosing coins to invest in. Still, the size of capitalization plays a much more important role.

You mean crypto would be ranked according to its features? We wont see such ranking up because position will vary on how the entire community supports a coin.
No matter what the feature it do have neither its outdated or the latest one it doesn't matter because community decision would always be the final thing for a coin
to succeed out.

Chance for what? to defend itself from those coins that have been ranked on CMC? definitely it has and no altcoin can even stand a chance to replace bitcoin, this has been discussed a lot of times.

what rank number do you think bitcoin will be on CoinMarketCap?

Bitcoin always has a good opportunity on the coinmarketcap site, because bitcoin is already a lot of enthusiasts and is trusted by many crypto lovers, in the ranking of coins, bitcoin is in first place, because the transaction volume is also greater, and security is also better, and until now I have never seen another coin in the first place, for tokens to be occupied by USDT in the first place.

You may be right with not being relevant to most average or retail investors but that can be discussed in another thread. You may create another topic comparing what information these types of investors are really looking for.
