Hi there,

This is a scammer site ( Microbtwhatsminerd1.com ) and managed by a Pakistani person, living in Lahore city and his name ( Manazir Ali ).
Pretending to be one of the agents of the Chinese company ( MicroBT ) and this isn't true.
He stole nearly 30,000$ by fraud on people according to a senior official working at Standard Chartered Bank.

You can read the original company announcement
https://www.microbt.com/message/news_detail/13.html

I think that's his Twitter account

Just as a follow up this afternoon, I have now lodge a complaint with Google in regards to the above mentioned webpage. I am not expecting any success or progress, but no doubt hopefully someone at Google will read my Scam compliant.

Also lodge a complaint with trusted site and godaddy

https://www.trustedsite.com/verify?host=microbtwhatsminerd1.com

Yes I have managed to contact Trustedsite and have sent them details, also there was another, tiny security type pop up box, that comes up on the microbt fake site and I managed to inform them, that it probably wasn't the best form of advertising, for them to be associated with scammers. Tonight I have just finished filing a report to the National Fraud Intelligence Bureau (NFIB) UK Police. This section deals with Cyber Crime and shares information Worldwide. I am doubtful these scammers will ever get the justice they deserve, but I am doing my best, to try and inconvienience them in some way, if at all possible.

been there also....not on that site but in crypro-world there are a lot os scammers luring around.....
my advice make it a learning moment ,  its kind a expensive one , but than again expensive ones you will remember Wink

Thanks for responding Kaltun

Absolutely I will remember, and they say crime doesn't pay? Although feeling pretty foolish I can at least hold my head high with the knowledge that I have never ripped anyone off. But I suppose in this business if you want to speculate, there is always gonna be huge risks in order to reap some rewards?
if there is (huge) money involwed, i bet in no time scammers will appear from left - right- above and under you Wink.

Absolutely agree with everything you have said Kaltun, I have started fighting back this afternoon, by contacting all the pop out advertising banners, on that website such as: Trustedsite and some security certificate companies. Its more than probable I am wasting my time, but I have had some response, so I really hope it causes the Scammer some hassle.

Join the world-leading crypto sportsbook NOW!
That sucks.

Welcome to the forum though!  Now scammers can find you, instead of having to wait till you find them!

Seriously though, if you think there's such a thing as 'being too careful', you will get scammed here.

'The right to privacy matters'
Hi

This is my first ever post on the forum even though I have been a member for a while. I have being reading many of the posts on here but it has only been in the last few weeks that I decided I wanted to buy my first mining rig. Only being of limited funds and being greedy I suppose, I wanted the most hashing rate for my money as I have understood that more hashing power means more success.

Well a couple of days ago after reading the dedicated section on here about mining hardware I decided to explore the Whatsminer. I googled Whatsminer and came across www.microbtwhatsminerd1.com and BINGO found a site that actually seemed to have stock ready for order. I ordered and paid in Bitcoin and within a few minutes my funds were whisked away. Oh how I felt elated that finally I had done something worthwhile with my retirement and could be the proud owner of a decent mining rig and maybe a plastic helmet to hang on my wall.

What an idiot or maybe that should of been "Greedy Idiot" I now realize that I have been well and truly scammed, conned, fleeced, done over, whatever you want to call it. I thought that I was pretty good at being able to identify when something was too good to be true, but on this occasion I got it wrong. And so no mining rig for me and worst of all no miners helmet to adorn my wall - shame.

After reporting MicroBT's YouTube channel to YouTube it was only then did I discover in the discussion section that others had also lost large amounts of money and so I felt it my duty to raise this post on here in the hope that others may not be as gullable as I have been. As the famous saying goes "If you can't fix it then don't worry about it" but nevertheless it still hurts.

Oh and BTW I am from the UK and so glad to be on this forum - Many Thanks.
