Everyone has a different target in investing in bitcoin, I am personally less interested in holding bitcoin for a long time, because the concept of investing in cryptocurrency doesn't always have the price to go up over time, so I prefer to use day trading. And this method eliminates some of my worries about investing in bitcoin

I hope that the price reference will not be those who invest on a large scale, but their interest in buying interest. But in my opinion, the top influencers who buy BTC only rake in a few percent of the profit. Stay HOLD because the price will continue to rise to infinity ....

seeing top influencers buying into bitcoin and some going public to talk about shows bitcoin is a step ahead in the expected direction. everyone is probably buying and holding to sell at a higher price later. just curious to know how long these guys will hold bitcoin and what price they will likely sell ? is it even possible to know their mind ? but i am sure they are in for long term. what do you feel about this. ?

I would say let's talk about it when we see the price going to $100k. It would be the biggest psychological barrier, and we knows, maybe they are going to be tempted to sell at that price.

Not just those big whales and institutions but even average joe like us will likely feel for this mentality. After all we're here to make profits right? And for sure most of us are going to sell at some point and it will be around 6 digits mark.
That's right and I agree. even I will also sell some of the assets that I have when it is at $ 100k. When the price peaks, the desire to sell is great. I can say that 80% of people will sell when the profit is huge.

Everyone's target bitcoin price is not the same. At least they're waiting at $ 75,000. This is the minimum target, maybe there are those who have targets above that.
75k is just Peanut for many users here, because they(or best to say WE) believes that 100k will come this year alone.
These influencers are surely buying it for long-term purposes to be able to see their actual investments soar high in the future for all we know that bitcoin is here to stay for sure. Some experts bitcoin will hit infinity beyond these bull seasons we are having right now.
That's why There are still strong movement for Bitcoin even altcoins are also climbing high , because of those investors that allows to Hold long term with Big chunks of Bitcoin.

This makes me think that you still lack of knowledge about bitcoin and how to make it profitable in the market from time to time.

Investors are investing their money either for a long-term or short term, some are doing day trading and some are just holding.

Cryptocurrencies are volatile so patience, timing, and analysis are important so that you can manage risks in the market.

I would be careful with what influencers shill because you might not get your expected return of investment if you don't do some research, you can benefit really big from this pumps if you are an early bird but if not then you will probably be one of their victims of artificial pump and dump schemes. Remember that you can make money with what coin is trending, just buy when the prices is low.

Who cares about their investment choices, you wanting to know this could only mean one thing, you're waiting on them to make your own decisions which shouldn't be so. If you give this so called influencer alot of attention they'll misuse it and make millions out of us for been gullible.

They're humans like you and me therefore so much attention shouldn't be given to what they think instead you do you own research and buy coins on your own preference and also sell when you deem fit that your investment has given you enough return of investment.

Take the case of Elon as an example, he was given much attention and has misused it in pumping worthless projects.

Most of the news from large investors on buying bitcoin came to the market when the price was above $ 50,000. This means that they will keep it for quite a long time, or at least until they get enough profit. On the other hand, when the market turns to a bearish trend, such large investors can sell a large volume of bitcoins at once, and it seems to me that this can seriously hit its price.

It would fully depend on how good they are at observing price movements in bitcoin. If they are just going with the trend and tend to follow the direction on who makes the most noises, there is a risk that they might sell too early as they go with the flow. If they are one of those who analyzes the market and go around listening to news about it, they have the higher chances of selling on a perfect timing as well as holding as they know the value would keep on growing. It doesn't matter if you are a celebrity or just a normal person, as long as you give better judgement on your investment and others, you will surely make it big here.

Its obvious they are buying to hod so it will be scarce then they will be the ones in charge of price control ,they want to be the ones to dictate the market ,when they hood it will be scarce then the price will be high when is high enough they will now sell after which the whole place will b flooded then the price will drop again and it keeps rotating

The right time to sell BTC depends on the profit you were aiming for and if you were satisfied with the current market value when the time comes. Well, they will definitely hold all their BTC just like what most people doing right now, and it's all about profit after all. They need more people who will invest to increase the demand and when the demand increases, the price will increase. Its really effective, see what happens to BTC when Elon Musk's name gets involved in BTC.

I am less interested in influencers promoting a coin or token.  I do not know, I think it is just a pleasure for them, not just take it seriously.  The coins or tokens that are promoted will definitely pump, call it doge, just a tweet can make the doge pump many times over.  even in the absence of progress from real function, it can happen.  unfortunately, this too would quickly descend once the hype was over.
It could be that or it could be that they have been paid to do that kind of promotion however, if I was not already hodling such coins and that with the little I know about crypto market, I wouldn't be jumping to invest in some coins/token because someone talked about it in some social media because like you said, it could easily turn south too.

for sure they have tools to see when to buy and   how long they can hold the coins.. Indeed mostly influencer around the internet are very knowledgeable and seems expert when it comes to this. and if I'm not mistaken perhaps they are using some indicators to figure it out, wherein the common tools to track the movement of the coin in the market . Such the possibility of the coin when it comes long term and short term.. Indeed i haven't seen an influencer that are not good and very professional about crypto trading and etc.

Define whom exactly do you mean by "influencers". If you mean just popular figures, who buy crypto on hype or irrelevant to the economy celebrities, e.g. Katy Perry with her crypto nail paint, I think these people won't be much of hodlers, they're just doing this for fun and, though the audience is loyal to them, I don't think many will follow suit.
If you mean company representatives, political advisors, large investors, well, for sure we can't know what on their mind, but they're much likely to become long-term hodlers and influence people's perception of cryptocurrency.

We all are not fortune teller, of course it is impossible to know when the top influencers sell their coins, it is impossible to read their minds.
Therefore, don't be easily influenced by influencers, we must invest based on the research and analysis that we have done. It's not that
top influencers promote certain coins, we become influenced and buy those coins. And also top influencers investing to make a profit,
so there is always the possibility that they will sell the coins they are holding in order to make a profit.

Honestly no one will know beside themself when they gonna sell their coins. We as people who follow stream, better focus on market which can help us so we're not left by trend and although they sell their coins, there is a chance people can gain profit too because trend market for now not only spot but there are future trading which can be done either price up or down.

It is a very broad question. Who are you talking about when you mean influencers? or do you mean each one of them? I suppose if you are talking in a broad sense. I would assume they'd hold until they see positive movement. Then there will be a few dry or even losing days. A lot of them wouldnt be able to handle the volatility and would probably cash out.

If you do know their address then you can always check it out for some possible movement but can you actually able to know if thats address is been owned by a particular big or known investor or person?
Most of the time you cant really know on what their address since everyone cant really be known and thats the beauty when you do deal with crypto where you can totally hide off your assets been
holding and the user cant be known if he had actually been holding those big amounts.Thing here is  that whenever there's a price dip then for sure those big whales or investors had already
dumped down their bags for profits as it should be always the main target on why people do jump in into this market.

No, it's not possible to know "what's going on in their mind" lol. You can't know when they will sell. They will keep holding and will sell when they want to or reached their profit goal. They will never tell anyone when they are about to sell. If they do so, they would just crash the market before they are even able to sell.
Look at Tesla. They took profit. Did they announce before selling? Nope. They only did after selling and taking the profit. If they announced beforehand, it would be a chaos.
i am also sure they are buying for long term. i wonder why some people are castigating Elon about Tesla selling part of its bitcoin. we just have to live our lives without mi ding what they do only if we want rest of mind. just do what you wish and take profit.

Those influencers are not what I am interested in, I am only interested in the normal guys that are out to be making use of bitcoin for transactions just like I do; I don’t only invest in bitcoin but I also make use of it for transactions online. Most of these influencers you’re seeing are just interested in how much they are going to be making and nothing else. Once the price booms to an extent they are all going to be dumping it to be cashing out huge profit.

And the funny thing is that it is these people that takes the most money out of the market because their pockets are deep enough to pull off some millions of dollars worth of investment, and then eventually the price pumps and they will have millions of dollars added as profit which they will withdraw and the market will be affected. They don’t make use of it, they just use it for investment.

such influencers live on appearances, bitcoin is something that attracts attention and influencers do anything to attract attention, you can already imagine that they may be buying bitcoin to gain attention and at the same time make a profit. It is an excellent move for them, people should always invest money after doing research, they do not should invest money because they heard someone on the social network saying to buy something Z

Different people do have different goals as well which makes them different also on how they do thing on their own. So when it comes to buying and holding their Bitcoin we certainly do not know when they will stop and when they will going to sell for it is in nature in people that as long you are seeing bright opportunity from something you are doing, the tendency is that you will just continuously doing it like it is becoming a daily routine of you. Now, if you are really that curious about such, better ask those influencers and big time personalities through their social media accounts the only way possible to know their stand about what you are asking for because you will not know exactly what they think if you will be picking a guess.

Depend on their knowledge actually and depend on the fundamental factor. I mean, when there is a bad news for bitcoin most likely they will sell their holding and otherwise when there is no bad information it means there is no thing that can change the current sentiment market then they will still holding it.

The current price is really high, but there is chance for bitcoin to increase more than now. As we all know, most likely the people who still hold bitcoin now if the current sentiment market change then there will be a huge dump for bitcoin since we already met the situation when bitcoin price touch new all time high and there is bad infoemation then a huge dump will come.

Germany presents: Law allows funds to invest in crypto values such as Bitcoin. Up to 350 billion euros could now flow into the crypto market. In the background the fight should now have started.

It occurs to me that these influencers are investing in bitcoin in that money that is saved for a business opportunity such as investing in real estate, land, entrepreneurship, etc. that it is not a short-term investment but a long-term one.

If it were the opposite I think it would not affect bitcoin if you could think that the price of bitcoin would have a sharp fall will not occur in IMO. I remain optimistic that the bitcoin mission is just beginning.

Everyone certainly has different thoughts, for example I buy bitcoin and sell in the short term. and keep some of it in the long run, I personally buy bitcoins when they are losing and sell when they go up
I am sure we have a different strategy and plans on what we will do and need to do related to the current situations on the market. We can buy and hold bitcoin or other coins while also buying and selling in the short term to make a profit. Both ways can profit in the short term and long term, but we can not always expect to profit because the market situation and condition will not always be the same.

Bitcoin is decentralized and there are no influencers here but they are called HODL-ers.I am one of them and I will sell at 100.000 Dollars for a Bitcoin. Then I will keep mining altcoins (which I am already doing) and exchange to Bitcoin. This next time I will not sell before 380.000 Dollars for a Bitcoin. This is my plan for 2021 as I believe we undoubtly will hit that 100.000 Dollars for a Bitcoin mark this year.

No one knows how long does one investor wants to hold their investment.
We couldn't be so sure about it even with the one's we know we couldn't tell for sure what are their plans with their crypto.
I would say even with our own investment sometimes there are instances that would change our plans.
So no one could answer those kind of question what I think is when they reach their desired profit they would surely take it and liquidate it.

They probably gonna sell at certain price point like $100K or even when their investments already double the initial investment but the thing is, each individual has their own preference same with these influencers however if it's an institutional investor I'm assuming they gonna sell when the the price of bitcoin already reaching their targeted price when they first bought it, I mean they must've done some calculation before even investing to bitcoin but maybe the sell off will be done gradually. Though regarding long term investment for influencers or institutional investors, I doubt they gonna set a certain period of time, pretty sure most of them are targetting the price not to the time.

Influencers will be like any "newbie" out there, which means... when there are a slight drop in the price (10%) ...they will believe their followers that the sky is falling and they will be trigger happy and sell all their holdings.

It takes time and research for true traders to understand Bitcoin's volatility and how extreme the shift in the price can be. (A spike or drop of $1000 in one day is normal)  Wink

It is not easy to know anyone's mind, most people who are buying btc especially this institutions are buying for long term, I don't think they have any intention to sell a valuable asset like btc in a hurry when there are many more opportunities in future, besides, if they sell what other assets out there will they invest the funds on!

What do you mean by "top influencers"?Do you mean social media influencers?
Can you mention a few influencers, who bought Bitcoin and are bragging about it on social media?
Nobody knows when those influencers are going to sell their BTC.I assume that they aren't very skilled at crypto trading and most of them will panic and sell their BTC,after a price crash hits the BTC market.
I big part of them might be just lying about owning BTC.I call them "fake influencers".They are just bragging and flexing with something they don't have.

As of today, there is a lot of saying by which news and ads popping and showing up when I use my social media accounts that bitcoin can grow which pushes a lot of people to hold the bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies.

So a lot of inexperience bitcoin holders or rather newbies tend to hold in but in the other sad part of the those who knew bitcoin a long time looks in the past that:

-History repeats itself

-Can possibly go up and later goes down, in short unpredictable.

-connected to the second it is unpredictable/ uncertain

As which I am not being much active by knowing updates and looking at the prices of bitcoin in the past few years I already learn that stop being greedy and learn to wait and hold as which I did I got a small amount of I was part of the people whose investment in Bitcoin went in the value of 3k. I focused on my studies and later on to my surprise last year bitcoin slowly going up that showed me history does repeat itself because it was a 2-time experience that for me that bitcoin hit 3k.

ALSO A FOLLOW-UP QUESTION

who are these top influencers? can you give up a name? I hope you won't be afraid we are safe here.

If you are a btc enthusiast and a believer of bitcoin, you will likely understand the feeling of holding it to the extent until you reached your goal profit. We cant also predict when do these bitcoin hodlers sell off their bitcoin, but for sure they will just sell some part and will continue to hold it.

Also, the fact that volatility is an opportunity for those hodlers to accumulate more, then there is a good reason for them to sell their bitcoin at set target high price then rebuy at low price if given a chance.

We don't know when someone is going to sell their bitcoin but it is a good rule of thumb that they are going to probably sell when they have around a 50% profit margin or a bit higher of their capital. We don't have to wrry about them, just be alert about the prices so you don't miss out selling for a big profit.

you won't know what is in their mind until they sold already. rumors spread like wildfire after they sell.

but you got to put in mind that the world monetary system is being reset. they won't waste a good covid crisis to take the opportunity so once it's fixed and covid stops there could be a slowdown and stable prices and then selling as well. things will change and could be permanent as well like covid passports and so on.

I guess you could know that by what they are buying bitcoins for. Is it For long-term business, to hold long-term, to make money from price volatility, to control the price, for show off, etc. This will probably give you an idea how volatile the market will be.
I believe that most of this heavy hitters like the institutional monies that have flown into Bitcoin would be mostly for the shorter term profits IMO because I really dont see them HODLing Bitcoin for years like regular investors do, their main aim is to turn around some quick investment cash out even if they might reinvest hence I to do believe we might be witnessing some usual volatility in the market.

Institutional investors don't trade for short term since it will take some time to liquidate there asset in case they want a short term trade. They usually set a target date or profit before they invest into something since they are investing using the money of people backing them. They study cryptocurrency first before they invest and I believe they saw that cryptocurrency future is profitable that's why they are investing big time.

They do (institutional investors) daily trades but they just have their clients investment locked in a plan.  That way they have the freedom to move their investors money without worrying for their client to cash out anytime outside the planned subscription.  If they don't do trades then where would they get the fund to pay their staff and bills.  Remember they are created not because of making their client profit but themselves to get profit from the money their client invested.

Can you guess someone's thought correctly? Of course not, except you have been even reading their written thoughts.
Well, it may be more to a prediction about their strategy.
During a bullish trend, I am sure that they will take profits, of course, even selling them all or even part of the entire amount.
However, they are also big influencers and public figures. They also know how Bitcoin, if they have the mission about BTC, they will hold it for long-term.

They are here for long term. But it does not mean they will not sell their bitoin tomorrow. You have to understand the fact that they are the pioneers of the comtemporary uptrend and many companies have earned more than 300% by holding bitcoin. It is unsual if they not sell their bitcoin for a partial profit then rebuy it at a lower price. We cant not understand precisely anyone mind but we can predict the behavior of the same quality group of poeple.

Sell and buy bitcoin for a long term still count as long term investing, right? So be careful. Remember not to let yourslef being in FOMO or FUD by these montrous whaes

Nope.

You will never know until when they're going to hold and when they will start dumping the bitcoins that they've held. You can easily know who are those for the long term.

Yet, they will still hide when they'll sell.

Well people are saying they will hold for a long time, but i'm pretty sure most of them have a target of profit. Like at what price they will decide to sell, maybe not all of their bitcoin, just some of their investment, gain some profits and then buy bitcoin again. I think only the rich who can hold for long, since they will still have money lingering left, they won't need to worry and can sell their bitcoin in the highest price. But normal people might be forced to sell their bitcoin when they don't have any money again, decided that it's enough just to take that much.

can anyone read people's minds here?
oh this is so absurd, no one could really do that. just as you ask who can read the future?
no one can really do it, everything related to things that are not certain to happen are called predictions. maybe that's what you mean? well, if so we can take advantage of the indicators on the chart to predict price movements. however, when it comes to influencers, it can hit TA, especially those with strong wealth and influence. because of the uncertain price movements that I am less interested in following influencers' leads.
it looks nice because prices can soar, but that unhealthy increase could drop rapidly at any time.

When it comes to selling decisions then this is something that cant be known, even if you do saw those influencers been shilling out that theyre selling but actually they arent doing it literally.

So you cant really tell until the price had made out some significant movement which is neither going up or down.No one can even know on what are the reasons on why the price is rising
up or going down.

Dont make yourself thinking up too much on when those fellas sell off their coins because there's no way that someone could know in regards into their selling
or holding decisions.

So basically it's someone who has no idea what their taking about, but because of their skils tits people want to have whatever they have?

If it wasn't obvious yet: I don't like "social media" and all weird stuff they come up with.
Seriously, its actually getting annoying to see them spout nonsense, that they clearly don't understand, and haven't even given it a second thought about researching what they are promoting. I guess that's the way of the world with social media, get famous people with a large following, and promote something that's not even relevant to their audience.

I do feel there are some "infulencers" which are promoting it off their own back, because they've personally invested in it, but even then this should probably be considered market manipulation, and its them trying to benefit their investment rather than actually believing in it.

Well, that's their bread and butter. Whatever is the mainstream topic, events, investment, and everything circulating in the internet must be scoped by them and create content with only the most basic knowledge they got from the internet.
Others may have invested in some alts or even Bitcoin, but most of them only tackle about crypto investments just to expand the number of their followers/subscribers.

No one knows.  It is the same as I do not know what your plan if you have Bitcoin and at what price are you going to sell them.  But one thing is certain, they will sell it at a profit unless they are weak hands that can be shaken easily once the market crash.  Most of these guys have a target price and a fail safe exit.  Like if BTC surge and hit Y price and that Y price is the target of the BTC holder then he will sell it.  When or how long is unknown for sure.

Cryptocurrencies are currently something that many see as a way to try to get rich, but we still know that not everyone will succeed - not everyone can be a good trader, but not everyone can be their own bank either.

your simple thinking is very precise and clear, and in fact comes back to the person, questioning their proficiency in managing their assets. because if there is no knowledge in managing a portfolio, I think 100 bitcoins will be depleted if they are not owned by those with a merchant mentality.
so, it's not about how much Bitcoin we have, but how smart we can manage Satoshi into 1 whole Bitcoin.

Try the analogy that you currently hold Bitcoin, well what are your goals, and why hold Bitcoin in the long term.

You will find answers to your questions. so do those who go out starting to buy, holding Bitcoin for the long term. maybe the reason we often encounter is that the price of Bitcoin is getting more expensive, and the scarcity of Bitcoin is the trigger for this price scarcity, coupled with a limited supply. the other reason is to build future wealth at a guaranteed Bitcoin price. for social status and others.

I'm not sure they will invest for the long term, in the end, they invest to get profit, and if bitcoin goes River $100k in the next months, a lot of people will sell. Is important to remember the high risk behind bitcoin and altcoins, they can grow on a crazy way, but at the same time, they can have some hard crashes. Just imagine what would happen if someone decides to sell 100,000 BTC, That would make a deep hole in the price, and will be hard for the markets to recover.
Yeah, ideally we want the price to gradually rise, and not take a massive leap. If it went up to 100k, there would be a lot of people selling. It seems the new ballpark figure for "I'll sell at 100k". So, that combined effort would likely bring us a unstable period for Bitcoin. Although, Bitcoin handled 50k fairly well so I might be wrong in that assumption.

However, I do feel the higher, and higher Bitcoin climbs the more, and more people will cash out fearing that is the ceiling. Of course, this is only concerning those that are treating Bitcoin as an investment, which they plan on cashing out eventually back into fiat. Those that use it as a currency will likely keep using it as a currency.

I think you just answered your question. It's long-term. And it's typically going to be profitable the longer you hold it. Some influencers do have a belief in Bitcoin, especially if their niche is somewhat inclined to technology. As long as people are holding, I think it's worth saving as well. If you have extra money, then why not just invest more. No cashing out until you don't need it yet. I think that's the best strategy.

These big-time companies and those people who are known with their own millions of people on their page are truly unpredictable. you never know when they will gonna move whether they sold it at once or sold half of their holdings. This is how it goes when it comes to their own point of view and most of them are capable to lost their investment so it doesn't really matter to them. The only one who will gonna get the bad luck is those who don't want to study the way to invest and the do's and don't when it comes to bitcoins because the only one who can give you the earning you like is no other than yourself.

Since being accepted by companies, investment funds, and banks, Bitcoin has increased in value significantly. It also means that the need for people to come to Bitcoin will be more frequent. I don't worry much about them going to sell because that's what will happen. They will sell Bitcoin and buy back at a lower price. So don't worry, there are many big companies buying Bitcoin in recent times so Bitcoin won't drop in price anytime soon. I am waiting for Bitcoin to reach $ 100k to sell some of my Bitcoin.

The biggest influencers like Elon Musk have already so much in wealth that they don't really need to invest in bitcoins and stuffs to make a "profit", I think these influencers are there just for getting the kick and be involved with the growing technology. They don't need the money and profits, they want their name to be plastered as they know these technology will go in the long run!
I'm not sure we can call Elon Musk just an influencer though. He definitely has a little more success in related fields. For example, he was the co founder of Paypal, which although isn't a cryptocurrency is definitely somewhat related being in the financial sector. I don't think Elon gets a kick out of being invested in Bitcoin. The guy probably has a million ideas that he would like to convert into businesses, and for him money is always needed. Especially since Tesla probably bought the most share in Bitcoin, compared to him individually. So, he's probably going to be reinvesting the profits made into Tesla. I imagine, that SpaceX would also benefit from this investment, which quite frankly needs all the investment that it can.

One thing is for sure: they will be using their media reach to try to influence the market, just like what Elon does. So, the fact that they make you curious means their strategy is working. I honestly believe there's no definite way to tell where the price is exactly going because it's the result of a collective decision. And since each trader's decision is based on unique situations, it's almost impossible to create a program that accurately predicts trends. So, what these influencers do instead since they cannot really come up with a fool-proof price movement indicator is get people to go with them in their desired direction via other media channels like social media. Don't try to find out what they're thinking because you can't. Look for the most influential among them and wait for their update. The rest looks up to them, too, so chances are they will just mirror their action.

We can't figure out on when does the influencer sell their coin since we don't know their tolerance level towards seeing those dumps in the market, if they are knowledgeable maybe they will seek more ups and buying more when dip happens.

But actually I'm happy to see them promiting since for tgis their followers might get attracted to join on bitcoins growth.

The only way to find out what some of them intend to do is to ask them - but generally most have invested in Bitcoin exclusively because they believe it is an investment that will result in a good profit. The question is, of course, what someone means by "good profit", because there are people who will be happy with 25%, but most still aim for much more - which would mean that those who invest in recent months are probably waiting for a magical $100 000 as a sell signal.

Cryptocurrencies are currently something that many see as a way to try to get rich, but we still know that not everyone will succeed - not everyone can be a good trader, but not everyone can be their own bank either.

seeing top influencers buying into bitcoin and some going public to talk about shows bitcoin is a step ahead in the expected direction. everyone is probably buying and holding to sell at a higher price later. just curious to know how long these guys will hold bitcoin and what price they will likely sell ? is it even possible to know their mind ? but i am sure they are in for long term. what do you feel about this. ?
