Offered to sell me one-half bitcoin for $130 from paypal friends and family, which, of course, cannot be questioned after it is done.  I stupidly agreed (my fault).

Sent email saying to send it to him at [email protected] (Ellen Loaster according to paypal) which I did.  He quickly sent me a response and said he was refunding me my money because he had given the wrong address.  He gave me a new address of [email protected] (sakril albat according to paypal) and I sent the money.

The first email was used/mentioned by another scammer on bitcointalk right here  https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.10889520

And he is already with negative trust.

This is also him: https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/huidual-433990

Prime example of why Escrow should always be first priority... Sorry for your loss buddy, I've been in those shoes before.

interesting because i sent an email to them and they said to call them.  i am in the philippines, so i sent it to my son to call them.  my son called them from the united states and they told him it cannot be reversed even after he escalated it.  they also asked why i would be sending money via friends and family to someone i did not know.

so now what?  looks to me like i am out $130.

PS:  markmj---sent you a pm asking for an email where i can send attachments so i can send copies of our gmail conversation which i downloaded to word and forward the emails i have on gmail.  also gave you permission to look at my correspondence with him on this forum.

Even if you sent the money by friends and family, it can still be reversed.   That's why Paypal is a horrible option to buy/sell bitcoin with.  Reversals can happen for a long time even after the sell.

He then sent me an email saying he did not get the money, get it back from the person he told me to send it to and send it to the original email again.  Of course, I could not get it back.

He now says that he does not know the person with that email.  I called him a scammer and asked him if he did not know the person, then why did he want the money sent there?  He has never responded back.
