since you are getting started dustcoin.com/mining is a good site to use to determine what coins are most profitable at any given time, however do not forget to take into account transaction and exchange fees when mining alt-coins for exchange. Cheerio

May be scary to mine BTC, but there are plenty of other alternatives that you could mine, even with the GPUs.

Is it just me, or is it a scary time to start mining? With ASICs out of reach yet still looming over the horizon.

What do you expect your hashrate to be with these cards? Don't you think that was a waste with ASICs on the horizon?

99 of 100 people tell me that ASIC is not a good investment and if I order now, I will not get it until Christmas.

Video cards hold value really well.

I can always sell them when ASIC does decide to come out.

So to answer your question, no, I do not think it was a waste!

I expect 375mhash per card.
