Grab yourself a Raspberry PI and use that its fairly easy to set up with the default distribution or you can use MinePeon if your not a linux geek.

Its based on Arch Linux Arm so you can do most things with it.

I'm loving the integration of cgminer in the Arch Linux repository. System runs nice and clean.

Arch isn't for everyone, tho. In which case Ubuntu is a fantastic choice for people new to linux.

OS doesn't matter that much, just go with Ubuntu or barebones linux if you're experienced enough with Linux. There really won't be much effect on hashrate.

I just bought a ModMiner QUAD from www.btcfpga.com and was wondering what flavor of linux will be best suited for running this miner?

Any help is appreciated!
