I just did a reinstalled and it is working fine now. I think it is possible the first installation was corrupted. I verified the signatures so we are all good.
A user has reported a same issue in electrum page on GitHub. His problem was also solved after re-installing electrum.

Given what I read in that thread, seems that this happens when you install the new version of electrum while the old version is running.
The windows installer doesn't give any error before it starts to delete old files. This causes some old files that are in use to not get deleted.
Windows installers gives error once it starts to overwrite files that are in use. The user closes electrum and clicks on "retry". The installation is completed but some extra files from the old version still exist. Those extra files make electrum not work well.

If I uninstall the program. When I reinstall, will it pick up the wallet on my PC by default?
Will you reinstall the older version?
Depending on your previous version, it may not be able to read the current wallet file.

If you'll reinstall 4.0.x+, there will be no problem; but if you'll reinstall v3.3.8 and below, you will be needing to restore using your seed phrase because the upgraded wallet file can't be read by those older versions.

Yes, the directory where your wallet file is located ("%appdata%/Electrum/wallets") will be left intact.

I am using CoinDesk but I have tried the others and it doesn't change.

Mine is working fine, it's the latest version as well.

What data source are you using? If you're using coingecko, try going to [1]. If it loads then it should be a problem with Electrum or something is blocking it on Electrum.

It's working at my end.
Maybe give it time to load since it's using third-party API to get the current price.

In the "Preferences->Fiat->Source", you can select the other sources (I'm using CoinDesk as source btw).

Hello,

I just updated to version 4.0.5 just now. I notice at the bottom of Electrum it use to show you the current BTC rate and the value of your BTC. Now it says "0. BTC (No fx rate available)"
Screenshot - https://ibb.co/c6qWtt8

Before, it had this information. Is this a change to the software or? It would seem like a backwards change if that is the case. I suspect something is wrong. I don't see any settings that are different in Preferences.
Any ideas?
