A solo pool like http://solo.ckpool.org is setup like a pool so it's all done for you except the blockfinder gets the entire block (minus 0.5% pool fee to support the developers)

What's a solo pool? I know there is solo mining, where you mine by yourself and keep the winnings for yourself, or you mine in a pool, where you combine hashing power with others, but you split the profit. What's a solo pool?

Are you talking about BTC solo? I'm guessing so with where it's posted.
Personally I would suggest looking at CK's solo pool: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/yh-solockpoolorg-2-fee-solo-mining-usade-255-blocks-solved-763510 . It has a history of hitting blocks and is known to be watched by one of probley the most trusted people in BTC mining.
I have scored 5 or 6 LTC blocks at Nicehash.
