Really produce evidence for this post. Because I see lots of the "big guys" spamming their sigs everywhere.

Bring your list of big guys with no sigs

You have one of the pussy cult, suchmoon. JetCash. Legendary like tmfp. I think you're looking at them very rarely. Ognasty as well, in my 1 year of stay here I didn't seen him do some of these.
I think you're aiming at the ForunteJack and Chipmixer Sig Members Cheesy

Well I'm retired, so my time is my own.

I see. that's why you ended up being like a bot here like LoyceV Smiley Just ask question and there you will be. A very fast response from you guys Tongue that's why I'm really curious on what you are in real life. Almost the majority of people doesnt have that kind of free time Smiley

I don't know anyone's personal life here as I know they would love to keep it private but I'm sure posting here is not as time consuming as you think. It's know different than wasting your time scrolling your social media accounts as well as watching Youtube. So I think even if you see these members always online in the forum I still do think that most of their lives does not revolve around in the forum. Just like me I can post in topics, surf the web, and do my job everyday and still have time to do other things like socialize with my friends.

~snip~

I guess a good part of the forum user just do not use log off button, but that does not mean they are always actually online. I also occasionally leave my status as online, although I do something else.

You should also know that some Legendary/Hero members are early adopters, which means that they have an opportunity to buy BTC at very low price, so this forum for them is just a way to stay in contact with cryptocurrency, and maybe to promote their own project in signature.

Regarding pay signature campaign, as OgNasty say they are lower pay rates+BTC price is very low at this moment. It is very hard to find some good paying campaign which pay in BTC, but if you can manage that, participation in the forum+earnings from sig campaign is win-win situation.

It is also important to properly allocate time, and do not spend too much time online. I like to see sun every day, though sometimes only through the window Wink

Well, I'm just curious of the big guys here, many of the legendaries here on meta doesn't waste time on campaigns, Even if its just a Signature Campaign, maybe they're just trading coins on some exchange platforms? Or even they have their own mining rigs? although as I can observe they're always online here and I think they doesnt even know how to press log out?
Point of being here is not to earn money as many people are often mistaken about it. Well for many people it is, but personally im in this other group, enjoying helping others and using my free time to be part of Bitcoin community. My day job earns me enough money that i can enjoy my free time anyway i want. Part of it is being here in biggest and best Bitcoin communities out there.
Some people spend their time in car communities, fishing forums  etc, my hobby is Bitcoin Smiley

I'm pretty curious on how they do for a living in reality? Or is it just they're rich to bother themselves anymore? Mods and staffs have a salary here, but what about the other big names?especially the persons on our DT lists, do they even know what the sun looks like?

1. I'm not a Legendary member but I know people who spent thousands of hours on Instagram without getting any cent or completing thousands of levels of games without a physical fee. It is your free time you are free to spend on money or otherwise.

2. We come from different countries, but in my case, getting $ 1,000 a week does not mean a lot of money "a security guard can get," it is not easy to get $ 1000 a month from this forum.[Therefore, signature campaigns do not mean a source of wealth.]

3. Investing in the mind is the best investment and this forum gives you a free expansion of your knowledge.

Having my own signature gives me far more smug and sanctimonious self satisfaction than mere BTC payments ever could.  Cheesy

I have always disliked wearing labels supplied by third parties, whether on my posts on a forum or on a shirt on my back.

I (nearly) always have a device logged on, whether I'm paying attention is another matter.

As for the rest of your curiosity, MYOB.

I remember getting paid 2+ BTC a month Grin. My current signature campaign has a fixed payment and requires a low amount of posts a week, which I will make regardless of being in a campaign. I don't mind signature campaigns as long as they aren't giving people incentive to make pointless posts and spam all boards.

My browser is always logged in so it's probably racking up 100% online time.

As for signatures - to each their own. I wouldn't mind getting paid for wasting my time on the forum but wearing a signature implies somewhat of an endorsement or at least a perception of it, and I'm not particularly excited about that part.

But once Garza is in jail and Howeycoins lands on the moon... maybe I'll consider a paid one. Nobody reads the rules or wants any merits anyway.

I don't think, neither did I notice that the amount of high ranked members on a signature actually dropped, its still difficult to see any user without a paid signature on, it all depends on the way and manner in which such users go about it.
Definitely we all have issues to handle in real life and definitely no one spends all day on the forum as there are other real life issues to be taken care of

Jet Cash is one example of these persons, although he just posted an image where he's enjoying a free internet access on Mcdonalds (just a joke, or maybe true Smiley ) I really envy people who has the time and money to spend. I wish I can just stay here all day long Tongue and add some time on Online Games.

Signature campaigns are less popular among higher ranked members these days because the payments have fallen drastically. The campaigns I’m offered currently pay about 85% less in BTC as what I was wearing a year ago. Add in an 80% drop in the BTC price to go along with it, and they’re hardly worth the trouble anymore. Especially when you add in posting requirements and headaches with signature managers or scammy advertisers. I think we were just in a golden age where advertisers’ BTC budgets became huge payouts due to the increase in BTC rate. Now things are settling down and there’s enough competition where advertisers are able to get more bang for their buck, and some members value their endorsement more than advertisers are willing to pay.

Well I'm retired, so my time is my own. The time logged as being on the Bitcoin Talk board isn't the time spent reading it. I leave a window open in the background, so that is clocking up time, but I'm actually ignoring the board. The McDonalds is a different issue. I'm exploring off grid living possibilities, and I'm anti-banksters and globalists, so I have to research food supplies etc. I try to to eat the food at McDonalds.

There are a variety of ways you can make money on and off the net without having to rent out your signature, but sig promotions are an easy way to pick up a bit of income. I'm careful about products I promote though, so I only include services thatI know and use in my signature. I am going to start to monetise my sites, so be warned, products there may be the result of paid advertising spots, but I'll take down or block anything that turns out to be bad.

Belongs to Meta,meh?

Most of them were early investors who bought bitcoins when its in double digits so there is no need for them to work for few bucks on signature campaigns,They are here for helping the crypto community to get better.
