very interesting information. I am sure that in the near future all football clubs will switch to their own cryptocurrency, because it is very convenient for everyone, this is our future.
Yes, that is true. If that happens then it will be a good step in a football club. With their own crypto, fans can more easily buy tickets and merchandise and many more.

MenaPay - Crypto made easier than cash
I am also seeing lots of ICO nowadays that are managed or advertised by a football club like Cashbet Coin. If this type of ICO continues, advertisment for cryptocurrency will be expanded for sure. Partnership with those football concept platform will multiply because of big advertisent during the game. This type of concept will surely boost the price of that altcoin if they will use it as a form of payment when buying tickets in discounted price.

This kind of news is really amazing for the crypto world as in all, it also indirectly adds a lot of credibility for the term Toker offering, it will be amazing to start to see ICO and Token offering coming from a trusted big entity. There is a lot of projects lately launched towards sports especially football and with this news coming in I guess this projects will gain some good ground, Football industry is a really fertile area for crypto and can easily be penetrated because of its wide fan base.

Free Bitcoins Every Hour!

After the acquisition of Ronaldo, the club began to grow. Perhaps the coin of Juventus will overtake Bitcoin. Grin

It is not only about Ronaldo. Juventus knows the potential business of cryptocurrency in sports. And It is not the first time, we have seen Ronaldinho released his coins. And maybe there are more parties from the sports sector trying to launch their crypto coins in the near future. I think it is no problem, as long as the coins are valuable.

Overtake Bitcoin? Lol. I don't think any altcoins can overtake bitcoin.  Tongue

Really dont like the idea , for me it looks like somebody just want to grab some quick money from people :/ why they need Blockchain tokens ? Isn't its more simple to create some app with virtual coins in it ? Will not need for investments lol . All the projects where famous people / brands where involved got burnt and was only for a quick ICO money grab..

The current blockchain technology of cryptos, if applied in football clubs, will surely cause a lot of curiosity and interest to the audience and fans. And it is certain that if this technology is used for ticket sales, other clubs will follow and create a large ecosystem that impacts the exchange rate of the cryptocurrency market.

even yesterday I read in this forum, one of the clubs in the Premier League if I am not mistaken Westham also wants to launch tokens to get funds for the benefit of his club, if Juventus penetrate too, I think that is a positive thing, provided this news is not false

It looks like more football clubs are joining in Smiley excited to see if they'll implement their tokens as a payment method for merchandise or perhaps even tickets!
it's crazy, being a fan of the juventus and seeing this topic I thought I could end up offering something with this Token like a club jersey or ticket to the stadium...
but finally it is just token like all the other's, just a way to pick up a little money for the interest of club, but where is the interest of the fans in all this?.

I do not think that the Juventus club needs monetization of their activities, but this is a strong marketing move. I think this fact will affect the popularity of the club, because the sale of Souvenirs they get the lion's share of income.

I think the way that they are doing it is to use it to reward fans for their loyalty and I think that is great. I hope they do things like giveaways for the coins at the end of their matches and maybe during some of their games because that would be a very effective way to promote the coin to people and make them invest in it. it might just end up being a big project

I think this is to help develop the football team by opening a crypto fund. This management is well done and true will help the team in further development. Did this game jump in crypto? as an official payment method so the relationship between team and players is also going well.

All this are quite confusing, the last time I checked it was PSG that was planning on launching it cryptocurrency, and know it juventus. One thing I know for such is that all announcement won't help altcoins growth, it all help the company archive their aims.

This is not my first time to see the football club interested to create their own crypto i thought that it can be used as alternative payment to buy any tickets or merchandise. But remember the problem is how they can control the volatility of the crypto? it looks a bit difficult to explain or this will become the stable currency like USDT?

My suspicion is that they'll have it fixed to the Euro but it will maybe offer a slight discount over paying with euros. Effectively functioning like some sort of loyalty scheme or gift card. It will help out with cash flow and might allow them to invest some of the unspent but invested money in to players or something else.

Yeah, I heard about the news. Juventus is not the first football club to release its tokens. I think this is the right decision that will make it easier for fans to communicate with the club. Now fans will be able to participate in surveys, buy tickets for tokens. Wow!

DeepOnion, a new dream.
Good news but not something big actually. Also, it is planned and who knows whether it will be launched or not. Again, it has nothing to do with our usual cryptocurrency.
Are the sources official or trusted, by the way?

This is amazing, I also read that Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is also planning to do so. This is good new, if all sports can adopt cryptocurrency then we are not far from mass adoption.

1. Transparency
2. Voting rights
3. Fast payments
4. Maybe fundraising for transfers
5. They want to attract people from this space, bec it is obv the future.
6. Engaging with unbanked fans from all over the world

And every single one of those points can be done without the use of blockchain or a token. Just because something can use blockchain, doesn't mean it should. Projects like this one and 99% of altcoins and tokens, that are using blockchain just because it's a "buzz-word" to get people excited, that have no legitimate need or use for blockchain technology, are simply a marketing gimmick targeted at the naive and the stupid.

Isn't the goal that blockchain should take over every industry?

No.

If you lack vision and don't understand basic things like technology is for everyone to use and on top of that call people naive and stupid just because they don't share your opinion, then i think the discussion should end here.

Blockchain's purpose is mainly to cut out the middleman, and this is what they want to achive here (i guess).

sounds promising, because football lovers around the world and football are the most favorite sports. but I'm not sure these tokens will be successful in the global market. because tokens like this might only be of interest to supporters and the community.

Bisq is a Bitcoin Fiat Dex. Use responsibly
I see nothing wrong with this as long as it attracts some more investment for the club, make their projects more transparent and participatory. But a Footballing club launching its own Cryptocurrency will likely make government people  mad. I mean, how will they even  get the club taxed? Will they tolerate outside( non-citizens), investors, will it be a privacy coin? Don't mess with them government with this one lol

I see some extra important use case for the Club coin though, like for online gaming, predictions thing, gambling, lottery, shopping, tourism, ticketing, donation...

Players and supporters could be so emotionally attached to such coin that it begins to piss off the governments.

Crypto in every aspect of live and will soon take over all sorts of transactions as Juventus is planning to have their own token. This news is awesome and welcome. The team is a forward looking team for them to identify the potentials of cryptocurrency . The token will be used as payments for their tickets and all others of the teams  merchandise like jersey( top) and other items. It will really make sense for them to vie off to the crypto direction and if they will succeed in this experiment the other clubs will take a cue from them amd experiment their own token.

Why, though? What do they need to use blockchain technology for, let alone launch their own token? To "improve the engagement with its fans" and "expand their global audience", according to the article? So basically they admit they are just using it as a marketing campaign?

It's shit coins like this that make crypto look like a scam and turn away people who are genuinely interested. There is literally no reason that they need to launch a token. And then you get a bunch of people on here all parroting "amazing" and "good news". What a joke.

First of all it is not a coin, it's a token.
As per why would they use the technology..

1. Transparency
2. Voting rights
3. Fast payments
4. Maybe fundraising for transfers
5. They want to attract people from this space, bec it is obv the future.
just saying.

It is laughable when people like you call jokes on people who are used to handle billions of $$$. They are people who make tons of money, they always have a reason behind what they are doing.

I agree with the points you mentioned. There are so many possibilities with the use of tokens. I would like to add the idea that perhaps the token could replace a ticket. You just show your token on your mobile phone at the arena instead of a ticket and you may enter. Your token becomes an e-ticket.

How would this drive away people from crypto? There are hundred of millions of sport fans with billions of $$$ to spent. The rise of this type of utility tokens is exactly the exposure that crypto needs.

I don't think this is good for the crypto market as this is purely a marketing gimmick, and has no real store value for it's investors, people shall buy this but won't get any kind of return and in short period of time they'll end this, and people shall leave in bad faith. I feel this kind of experiments will damage cryptos name, I do hope people are wise and stay away from such marketing gimmicks, or else they'll end up with a token but no price value, or a store value.
