I'm surprised that no one posted it before, it happened 5 days ago already. RIP, that dog made more difference than most people.
That's right and that's the reason I have posted it so that everyone remembers.

18 years of age is pretty high for a Shiba Inu dog or for any average dog, Kabosu probably live a happy life than any dog with care from her owner/s and the community made because of her iconic image. RIP.
I agree, that's a long life span for a dog. And this only proves about that dog's like a shiba inu is certainly a "man's bestfriend".

Before 2021 Dogecoin was not that known and did not have a big market capitalisation but now it is on the top 10 list followed by Shiba Inu.
It's already known but that was the start of the meme coins craze when Elon keeps on tweeting about it. But even before the hype craze started, there has already been significant market capitalization for Dogecoin.

Kabosu cannot be denied the great help that has been given to the doge community in the few years it has existed in this field of cryptocurrency. At the same time,
it also contributed to the crypto market, actually.

It's sad, but his good memories will still remain with his boss, who took care of him, and even with all the communities he formed in this field of crypto space.

Rest in peace and rest in heaven Kabosu.
Yeah its been some days since he passed away. Doge community maybe even entire crypto community is so emotional and sad. But he will be all alive in form of doge as a legend.

Quote
“Ever since Kabosu came into my home, a series of miraculous things have happened, enriching my life and gifting me with a treasure trove of priceless moments,” Sato told the paper.

This part was really heart touching. Sato adopted rescued dog and he favoured sato with good fortune. And also made dogecoin established main stream coin being its iconic mascot.

I tried to find if someone posted this but I haven't seen one.
Kabosu, the iconic shiba inu image of Dogecoin has passed away a few days ago. I am sure that all of us are aware of this image for Dogecoin.
Now, there are a lot of dog memecoins and one of the popular one is the Shiba Inu altcoin and it is followed by more.
Rest in paradise, Kabosu.

Today Kabosu, our community's shared friend and inspiration, peacefully passed in the arms of her person. The impact this one dog has made across the world is immeasurable.

She was a being who knew only happiness and limitless love.

Please keep her spirit and her family in your heart, and most importantly carry her with you as your story continues - we are all fortunate for hers to have touched and shaped ours.

A brief history of Kabosu and her owner.

In 2014 the public transport authority in Stockholm, Sweden, launched an advertising campaign using the doge meme, with captions such as "such cheap," "many summer" and "wow."

So proud is Sakura of its famous canine mascot that the doge image has been used on manhole covers and a bronze statue of Kabosu was unveiled earlier this year, paid for by donations from fans around the world.

Sato told Japanese newspaper the Ashahi Shimbun in February that Kabosu was a rescue dog that was at one point close to being put down. Kabosu’s exact age is unclear, but Sato said in February she was 18.

Ever since Kabosu came into my home, a series of miraculous things have happened, enriching my life and gifting me with a treasure trove of priceless moments,” Sato told the paper.

I like the last part. Kabosu didn't just became a blessing to her owner but also to the community of Dogecoin and entire crypto community.
PS: No debates about memecoins, let's give this one as a tribute for Kabosu.
Ahh sad to hear this I used to have some deep feelings with this tokens logo. Actually anything that is a bit different from others appeals us so much like the logo of Pepe it's also very interesting and attractive.

I hope that they will bring it back to the project because I miss it literally. Let's collectively ask them to bring it back plz.

here in BTT, some users may even be surprised to know that doge is actually a real dog and his name is Kabosu. if Shib is derived from doge, i guess Shib is still him.

Dogecoin and it's mascot (Kabosu) started the meme coin trend which is still going on and I don't think it will end. Before 2021 Dogecoin was not that known and did not have a big market capitalisation but now it is on the top 10 list followed by Shiba Inu. Thanks to Kabosu we were able to associate Doge coin and Shiba Inu with a face. RIP!

Kabosu surely is the most famous dog even though people might not realize its name when they see it. It's sad to hear the dog is dead but it lived its life to the fullest and died of old age. The photo of this particular dog was a huge meme even before the launch of dogecoin. In 2020, the photo of Kabosu was popular meme with the word DOGE which inspired the creators of Dogecoin who took both the picture as logo and the word Doge as name for the first memecoin. The success of Dogecoin led to the creation of other Dog based meme coins some of which kept using Kabosu in their logo.

Actually I saw the token kabuso being traded somewhere and been shilled by many CT, at first I was curious what token or meme was that cause I didnt know that the dog on dogecoin was named kabosu. RIP to the founder of all dog meme. Was it Elon Musk the owner of the dog or someone else known personality?

Yeah I think that memecoin came out in 2020 or 2021 during the last run.  I don't usually follow the memecoin market but I seem to remember it because of doge and the name of that dog.  People will literally name a coin anything that is trendy or will catch on with people and people literally fall.for it everytime.  It's hilarious this market can even hold up lol.

Kabosu's owner is a kindergarten teacher named Atsuko Sato, who adopted this Shiba Inu dog in 2008 after it was sent to an animal shelter. His picture became famous through her personal blog and then spread on Reddit and Tumblr to receive widespread support from meme lovers [Wikipedia].

It is worth noting that Kabosu died as a result of leukemia, which he had been suffering from for two years. Kabosu was indeed the most famous dog among the dog breeds, whose image was used in popular commercial advertisements and in the DogeCoin logo, which is considered the queen of meme coins and which won the admiration and support of Elon Musk, Mark Cuban, and other businessmen and artists. The famous picture of Kabosu was sold as an NFT auction for $4 million a few years ago [1].

RIP to this lovely creature whose name and image will remain immortalized in the history of cryptocurrencies and forever etched in the hearts of his fans.

I had some negative opinions about meme coins but I do respect what Dogecoin has done for the community, we never had a trending coin like  Dogecoin, it made the market robust and started a long trend of memes and we owe it to Dogecoin.

Five years ago who would have imagined Dogecoin would reach this height if I had known or had a magic crystal back then I would not sold my over 30k Dogecoin.

But with great respect to Kabosu, he will now become a legend, and the original meme, many more memes will come but nothing will compare to Dogecoin.
