Owing to the fact that the whole country is confused right now, we no longer know who to obey or consider as a law maker.

Some state governors decided to continue using the old notes but the banks here are the problems they are following the order of the CBN governor despite the announcement made by the supreme court and it's very funny.

A supreme court gave an order, now why will the people listen to the CBN governor over the supreme court. I'm tired of this country. Please you all vote well oooo so we don't suffer for another 8 years.

Like in my area today one pos lady was killed because she was charging 4k for 10k like it is an act of wickedness. POS wey no be her own now she is dead. Please we should all use our heads. Don't say because my mates are doing this, I want to do it too you go only collect.

The fact is, our judicial system is weak and the constitution has given little to nothing power to the court in this regard, mind you CNB as a government institution has its enactment act/law and this law stipulates the role of the central bank and its jurisdiction of applications of such law and this currency printing na matter were no concerns Supreme Court.

-As for the actions of the Kaduna state governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai I will say he acted out of constitutional supremacy because ordering the citizens of a state to go against the federal government law is tantamount to a rift between the state and the central.

-Kaduna is one of the most hit states by banditry, kidnapping and other hostage-taking businesses and this policy will undermine the strength of the operation because financing is almost impossible.

Buhari’s tenure will end in a short time from now, so when we look at all this it all goes back to political interest they’ll get from the new party presidential candidate they’re both supporting. This new change of currency really affected the masses and are angry at Buhari. This new policy I’m sure will be beneficial to the Nigerians even though it’ll take time before we’ll realize it. But dis policy pepper me too no be small but las las e go better for we country.


Exactly, election malpractice will be curbed. That was one of the undisclosed sim of this new naira redesign policy at this close time of election.

During the time of Goodluck Jonathan tenure, no be as governors take the castigate and am upon and down, even his south-south governor brother "Amaechi" follow join suit. Wey make our man the address Jonathan as weakly president. The same thing don happen to Buhari.

You see this our governors, I no know whether na the immunity wey them d give them as governors the shark their head to challenge the number citizen of a country. Elrufai for try this bullshit for em first tenure, to see whether em for win 2019 election. This number one person for Kaduna I hail am plenty plenty becos him do wetin other governors no fit do for there state, imagine for place like Rivers State, our strong man no fit do the same make person suffer reduce small. Everyday I dy listen radio make I hear say him tell everybody to dy use the old and new notes but nothing like that instead nah only political chase him dy do. Like this poor man and big man nah the same oh, nobody hold money, I have tired like this.

Omoo, e still dey shock me watin dey sup for this country. Big wahala dey o. How a whole Supreme court go give order say make nobody use our old naira notes again then one state Governor go just rise from nowhere come tell him people say na lie oo make dem no mind presido make them continue dey use the old naira note. I support wetin kaduna state governor talk, the man na better governor, en know say en people go suffer nai make en pass that order.

The matter surprise me oooo, the governor of Kaduna state Ahmed Nasir El-Rufai is a big shame and I do believe say a person who claimed to be a technocrat will speak against a policy like this and order his people to go against presidential order but I trust federal power, them no born El-Rufai well to do otherwise and the question be say the old naira no dey like that again even as he says to make people for Kaduna accept old notes, the question be say how many of the old naira note still dey people hand, bank don already collect most of ammm from people unless those politicians were donned stash large amount of the old note before this swap policy.
-I no expect this kind of level of criticism to be coming from members of the rolling party and I no expect strong party nan like El-Rufai to make such a negative outburst against a federal policy where many within his state are sacked from their homes due to terrorism, kidnapping and banditry which is one of the major areas were the currency swapping is targeted at.

The question wey I need ask El Rufai is "Why"? What is he trying to prove? Why is going against the Supreme court. What is he afraid of? His political career? We have always known that he is a man that doesn't obey court orders. Right from the time that he was the FCT minister up until now that he is the governor of Kaduna state. Sadly, in Nigeria, the law and punishment is only for the poor and those without any political godfathers because I cannot imagine that a many who has flouted the orders of the court in Nigeria over and again would have the effrontery to go against his boss, the President and the commander of the armed forces.

On the other hand, it is obvious that something is terrible wrong with our judicial system. It is obvious that their wings have been plucked off. They are in bed with politicians and so they have no power. They are no longer independent. What then is the hope of those undergraduate law students who will spend over 5 years reading for a degree in law?

My dear, I am totally against the opinion of the Kaduna governor, because how can he alone go against the order of mr president the number one citizen of the country,who is him to do that, infact he deserves punishment but we all know how things are being running in this country had it being it is from other side of the country military would have blown up every living soul in that state,..
And my question to him is:why is he taking this policy personal?i think there's something fishy about this governor of Kaduna and let me tell you, don't think he is fighting for the interest of his people,he is not oooh rather he is fighting for his own interest ooh, because where was him ever since Boko Haram are killing people everyday and night, what has he done,has he ever speak against the killing if really he loves his people and he fighting for the interest of his people in his mind, please Kaduna people should not mind him ooh this is a crocodile tears, because if he is right in his opinion I believe by now other governors should have followed up as well,but they have seen it as disobedience to the federal republic of Nigeria,but who can ask him why because we all know the game that are been played in this country,but God pass them all and always on our side no matter what they do or say,God is the owner of our lives,..

No mind that dwarf for Kaduna weh deh rum him mouth there. Residents of Kaduna deh talk say market people no agree to accept the old notes. Them supposed call that Elrufai man to order before he will cause more problems fir this country. Him and the Kano governor just deh try Buhari. Them think say as Buhari tenure don almost end him no go fit pepper them again. But what about the problem weh them fit cause for our masses. Nah that one concern me.

Comr. your talk na correct one. You see as the policy be, na gradual process wey everybody go take adapt to the system. All this kind of policy dey take time before e dey fully come to actualization. During President Buhari military regime, he changed the naira note and he did not put pressure for the naira swap not until the old note gradually was removed from existence and the new naira note was fully in circulation, Buhari never pressure any bank or organization to inact  any law and punishment for the change of note compared to this current situation. The CBN governor is bereft of ideas to run the affairs of the organization he is incharge of but I believe it will take time for Nigerians to adapt to the new policy which came to existence last year.

For the fact that kaduna state governor made a statement as regards the old naira still accepted in kaduna is not a big deal although he is in the main stream government and currently likely to go against the president's directives but he is doing it for the sake of his people. People are going through lots as there no funds in circulation. Let me tell you do you think it is every purchase you do that accepts transfer? How about the market traders? Have you gone to the market to see for yourself? Now tell me will you make transfer for good worth #50 and pay for transaction charges worth #30 and above? These are the things we are talking about. How about the farmers? How about the commuters? So you want to tell me that you will do a transfer of #100 just from junction to junction with almost half of the pay as transaction charges?  People are stranded, go out and ask questions then you would know what people are really going through mate.

I am not in any way criticizing your point but just the reality we are currently facing in the country. The policy is a good one but I just think the country is neither matured nor ready for that now as we can see the banks for a long time now been dealing with network issues as banks are shoting down.

This is the reality of Nigeria now.

Na statements like this they make me say Buhari na mumu man a d his government na big setback for Nigeria, how a president go give order and a governor go wan go against the order. The worst part no be say the governor dey the opposing party and him wan just create misunderstanding but this one na him tight party person wey be Nasir Ahmad el-Rufai like instead of you to work with your president so una fit make everything dey okay. Maybe him dey find favor for him people hand so dem go elect APC again for Kaduna. Punishment suppose dey for this kind thing.

Make we forget say this policy come with big shock but we know say e no bad at all especially if we fit implement am well wey be say big cash no go dey dey outside the banks again. Any transaction go be electronically wey be say, person fit obsessed where the money dey from and where him dey go. E go bad for some political propaganda as dem fit use this spying dey monitor person but some kind crime like kidnapping for reduced unless kidnappers go wise up they use cryptocurency lol.

No be small thing oo,here at bayelsa everyone is rejecting the old money ,pos attendant dea raise shoulder up ,even the charges to collect ur  own money is a problem.it has now gotten to the extent of using money to buy money,it would have been good if other state governors will act like Kaduna state governor .

Wahala no they finish for this country oh, governor for kaduna tell him people say old and new naira note go still they in use say make them no fear till the Supreme Court decide other wise, talk say any person or any facility wei reject they old naira note go face they consequences.
