Kakistocracy is a term coined for a country that is led by the most unfit individual. I think a lot of world leaders today are not the best candidates for their country but nevertheless have won. Be it through some influence, connection, popularity or some other illegal ways, these leaders have planted themselves into the position. As someone who lives in a country I believe is now under kakistocracy, it is incredibly frustrating to see the president try to create decisions that are not at all what is best for the country. There is barely any good progress since he was elected and we fear that it is just gonna be worse as the years pass by.

Yes, we are in a democracy wherein the votes of the people matter the most but some people are easily swayed by fake news or whatever it is that influences their political views. Hence why these leaders, even though with no proper background or work experience, get elected.

I hope the nation Nigeria is practising democracy and not kakistocracy. The fact remains that the state has been turned into entrepot and its offices turned out to be cogeries to be shared among loyalists or Party supporters. This necessitated a social exclusion perpetrated by the ruling class, and this is achieved through a militarized version which has the semblance of kakistocracy at best.
Despite this contraption, the fundamentals of democracy are enshrined in the Constitution and practised, though it is not fully been perfected.

The problem with developing and underdeveloped countries is that square pegs are found in round holes, meaning that most of their leaders are not competent to lead their economy into prosperity, because most of them get into government through dubious means. In the case of Nigeria, and other developing countries, the root causes of their problems is also corruption, they know what to do to better their economies, it's not rocket science, but they won't do it because it'll mean that they can no longer enrich themselves dubiously. I don't know about kakistocracy, but living in Africa, I know that the root causes of our poor governance is incompetent leaders and corruption.
Mate you've said right, Africa continues to breed corrupt leaders, they are ficking blessed with everything they need to excel and be one of the best countries in the world but their leaders are far too greedy to see this possibilities, you would see foreign companies given contracts to construct roads when they have tons of civil engineers that are capable of doing it, I think the slavery mentality hasn't left them ever since and they enjoy selling themselves off to other persons.

I watched a clip where all the un nations presidents and reps gathered, the African presidents were looked down on, they were treated like mere persons, its just so foolish how grey haven't learnt from the humiliation they are receiving from other countries.

This issue keep bordering my heart looking at the nature of things and our economy's , if actually is the same democracy I see others nation practice that we are into, or has been adopted into kakistocracy as used in the past to describe the Russian government under Boris Yeltsin and later Vladimir Putin, the government of Egypt under Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, governments in sub-Saharan Africa, the government of the Philippines under Rodrigo Duterte, and several United States presidential administrations. But if it's  from facts I see them do better than what our leaders are doing today because truth been told even kakistocracy is better than our democracy from the facts I read from those that practice it, even at the point of being governed by the least. my question is what class should we classified this type of government in our nation please share your idea.

The idea is this, the government has the right to choose the method which they will like to adopt for the way they are going to lead the people under democracy or any other kind of leadership rule, we are the ones that should not be too dependent on these governments because the more we are expecting the economy to get better the opposite it may appear, looking at the population on ground, the capacity of the leader to effectively manage the people and lead them to a desired destination could not come as easy as they may thought, as some of these leaders are not equipped or prepared for it, instead they are there to make fame and money by being in a leadership position.

Well I didn't know kakistocracy exist as a form of government. I had to search on Google and was surprised to find it and it is:

Quote
government by the worst persons; a form of government in which the worst persons are in power.
https://www.dictionary.com/browse/kakistocracy

It is therefore not surprising that most underdeveloped countries have found themselves in this system of government albeit the pretence of practicing "democracy". They preach democracy but they don't allow the few institutions to work for the people. They manipulate everything in the economy and not allowing for credible, free and fair election.

Election is where all the bulk of the beginning of corruption starts. These worst people in the society come with intimidation of the opponent lives, they buy over security agencies who are already part of them, they buy over the election umpire and that is where the rigging starts. The courts are there friends and stooge, they make the arms of government look like they are separate but in actual sense they are one supporting each other worst in their arms.

Such system knows no progress but retrogression and the citizens have no choice than to search for livelihood in other countries.
