Why it has to be cooked so long? Chicken is delicate meat, isn't that too much?

key is temp of 240f  = 115c  it allows for slow cooking.

this is much like crockpot cooking.

It warms the home and gives spectacular aroma. It is meant for a cool winter day.

I have fast recipes for chicken which involve stir fry style .

What about the pressure cooker, can we cut this down to minutes?

Also that can of "organic" tomatoes is questionable. Fresh tomatoes are available year-round and can be roasted in the pan after the chicken, onion and peppers are brown.

Why 5 hours, may be it is enough with 1 hour ? 5 hours is very long time for cooking.  Wink

 photos and instructions to come.

Anyone welcome to use this and change it up a bit.

I am low salt low hot pepper guy.  But  you can add that to taste.

Please call it by its name.  Kano's chicken breast .

I used 3 pieces of boneless skinless chick breast.

Some olive oil

get the oil hot add some sage and cook it for 1 - 2 minutes

pre cut onions and peppers next

brown them up a bit

add the three boneless skinless chicken breasts  brown them

toss more onion + peppers in

1 28 oz can of fire roasted crushed tomatoes

first secret 1 teaspoon of honey  and notice  a little more sage

some more secrets toss in 2 or 3 apricots  or about 30 raisins.  I had apricots went with that

put in the oven

set at 240 F    which is  115c   Bake in the oven for 5 hours  it has to smell so good you true to your spouse and say I can't believe it smells this good .  I take a fork and shred the breast then use it with the red sauce on pasta.

I will add a magic pasta to this later I have photos of it.
