He's managed to change "Coinye West" to the "gay fish coin" - he definitely made someone look stupid...
Bottom line is he cannot sue. The devs have changed the logo which was the main concern in the legal docs.
It seems it will turn out that way. Even if sued, I think the Coinye devs can use the defence of parody.

kanye wont be able to get an open source project shutdown. the issue comes when exchanges like cryptsy or vircurex try to accept coinye. thats what kanye will target.
my thoughts exactly, they can just sue any business that accepts this coin. And that is my greatest fear with this coin =/

Make more celebrity coins so they keep suing us invisible devs. Get the word on the street that with alt coins, there is money to be made.
