Katyn as a symbol of Russia's crimes

........which is a symbol of Russia's shameful past.

Many countries pointing the finger at Russia have a shameful past too but was it not the USSR/soviet communist regime under Uncle Joe who ordered this butchery? How can the current generation of Russian citizens be held responsible for these crimes without holding many other nations leaders and citizens to account for past crimes for example through colonial expansion?

What happened to the Polish officers was a war crime but the soviets denied it and blamed the Germans.

The fact is that the Russians did not confess to their crime. Moreover, they wanted to blame the Germans for this.

thats logical but first of all soviet crimes and soviet thoughts are different from russian orthodox thought russian orthodoxy recognises nations as god designed, soviet thought seeks to remove the lingual barriers and unite the peopple under a common council to free the people from the nationalistic burgoise, and the nationalistic hate mongering.

not much different to islam.
How do you understand to eliminate language barriers? What needs to be done for this?

Yes,if there is irrefutable shown evidence that the soviets carried out the slaughter then it would be reasonable for the Russian gov to acknowledge these crimes. A fully independent scientific and historical investigation should be allowed unhidnered by political interests but I would be doubtful such evidence would be available after the soviets made it "disappear".

how are russians responsible for the crimes of a multinational government that ruled overthem?

soviet crimes are soviet crimes
and russian crimes are russian crimes.

1) refusal to hand over the wreckage of the plane
2) elongated investigation that is more like 11 years already up to present
3) Doubtful cause of accident

hmmm it really do smells fishy. Especially that Putin has been Left and Right criticized these days for large scale corruption.

I think the only way for this to be investigated really is when putin is not the president, or other nation have a petition for the wreckage to be hand-over.

For Putin, discovering the true cause of the disaster can turn into a tribunal, so he will not allow the transfer of the plane wreckage to Poland.

Interestingly, recently, in response to repeated requests from Poland to hand over the wreckage of Kaczynski's plane, Masha Zakharova said that until the investigation is over, Moscow cannot hand over the wreckage. And the investigation has been going on since 2010 and it looks like it will never end.
Probably in the details of the wreckage is TNT, a consequence of the explosion, for which the Russian specialists are responsible service.

Katyn as a symbol of Russia's crimes

The crime of Russia discovered by the Germans, known as the Katyn execution (1), which the Russians refused for 50 years, found its continuation in yet another crime, the death of a Polish government delegation in 2010 as a result of a plane crash while entering the Smolensk airport. Airplanes do not fall from the sky. Officially, an investigation by a Russian commission concluded that the accident was due to improper actions by the crew. This conclusion of the commission raises doubts, so Poland turned to Russia with a request to hand over the wreckage of the plane, which was refused. It is quite possible that the reason for the refusal to issue the wreckage of the aircraft is the presence of traces of an explosive in them, which can be detected by modern analytical methods. Revealing the truth is unacceptable for Putin, as it would indicate his direct guilt in the planned murder of members of the government delegation and concealment of an insidious crime.

It is possible that Putin, as a very vindictive person, hated President Kaczynski for his intention to visit the Katyn memorial, which is a symbol of Russia's shameful past.
